AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Miss the odd game? It's round 2. If the hand was that problematic then he wouldn't have been out there in the first place. That he was suggests he will play again this week. Horse was even asked about any potential injuries and he didn't mention Mills' hand at all.
Well then either you will the argument and/or Mills is playing with and injury. My point still stands that I think that we should be smarter about player injuries despite players willingness to play. Winning grand finals should be the focus. The steps to do that should be maximized.Well he's been named so move on
I think it's more if the choice is between Amartey on limited TOG, maybe just staying up forward versus McAndrew playing, who'll probably also be on limited TOG. I'd go Amartey.
I think with the improved weather forecast, we'll stick to our structure. So a tall in for Buddy.
I'm not disputing there's an injury, I'm just saying it's obviously not that serious, because A) it didn't seem to effect his performance in any way, and B) it's just the latest case where a Swans player has worn a glove for a hand injury (Fox, Rowbottom others that come to mind) and they didn't seem to have any repercussions later on from playing with such injuries. Why would he wear a fashionable glove though, apart from injury/protection? After kicking a goal he was high fiving everyone with the non-glove hand, it looked like he was actively avoiding anyone touching that hand (sounds ridiculous when i read it back lol).
Errol is lucky to be on the benchErrol and Rowy named on an extended bench….. evidently both on the fringes of selection
No way.Amartey should come in for Bud. No other changes imo. IIRC Amartey had a breakout game against the Hawks the last time
I have been manifesting this forward line for over a year now.McLean as stay home forward, McDonald pushing up the ground, Amartey 2nd ruck/forward
When was the last we went with those 3?I have been manifesting this forward line for over a year now.
I'm gonna look like an absolute potato if it flops
Never. When was the last we went with those 3?
I’m still not convinced that we will go 3 talls + Ladhams.Never.
We are going, * William Shatner voice *, where no man has gone before.
Perhaps, but I actually reckon Amartey is one of our best pressure forwards period, tall or small. If he's not clunking them, then I'm completely comfortable with his tackling and follow-up work in wet conditions.I’m still not convinced that we will go 3 talls + Ladhams.
The forecast is for rain - I’m not sure it’ll be a game suited to marking forwards.
If Amartey's not fully fit, leave him up forward. Looked more dangerous in VFL than McLean, for the majority of last season.McLean as stay home forward, McDonald pushing up the ground, Amartey 2nd ruck/forward
I’m hoping we’ve finally learned our lesson re: selecting unfit players. If Amartey's not fully fit, leave him up forward. Looked more dangerous in VFL than McLean, for the majority of last season.
If Amartey is not fully fit he should not be playing. It is Hawthorn. If Amartey's not fully fit, leave him up forward. Looked more dangerous in VFL than McLean, for the majority of last season.

Someone on here saw him clearly in pain in footage from the change rooms. It seems he was clearly putting on a brave face out on the paddock and it was suggested he might not be able to keep that up forever.Am I the only one who thought Mills' hand seemed fine?
Wearing the glove obviously but others' ball-handling on the night was a lot worse than Mills'.
If his hand was causing him grief to the point he couldn't play this week, then he wouldn't have played last week.
