Well the second best (weather website) in the world is Czech. windy.com
Go figure eh.

Alas our BOM has been gutted of funding.
Though they make a fantastic weather model for < 36 hours out. AXS-C.

Honestly Donza, if I hadn't have clicked the link in your first post, I would have thought you were extracting the urine!

Ha.

For the record the BOM uses the same models . They just don't publish the data very often (once a day around 4.25) unless something dramatic happens.

Quotes from Horse
On a replacement for Lance
“We’re working through whether we go small, or bring in a Joel Amartey-type player. Sam Reid won’t be available to play. Logan McDonald will play again this week – he’s an important player in our front half.”

On the team’s Round One performance
“It wasn’t about the end of last year for us. It was about beating the Gold Coast Suns and that was really about the type of football we wanted to play. We were able to get that for the majority of the game. The challenge in this industry is that you have to do it again every week. We’ve got to make sure we execute again this week.”

On the ruck
“We’ve got Lachlan McAndrew who’s a young ruck.... He’s being going well throughout our preseason games and he played well on the weekend as well. He’s available to play if needed but we’re pleased with Peter and he’ll play an important role in the next few weeks.”

On Tom Hickey and Sam Reid’s injuries
“Hickey is still around five weeks away – Round 5 or 6. Reid is a few weeks away. We want to get him some good training under his belt before we play him.”

On Matty Roberts
“He’s right in the mix for the top 22. It will depend upon what players we have available and if our senior squad are out for any reason. We’re confident in how he’s going.”

On the players that stood out in the VFL
“A few of the younger guys played. Angus Sheldrick was able to get some game time in – he was an emergency player for us on the weekend. We feel that over the next three or four weeks there will be some game time available for the players coming back from injury as well as the younger guys that are tracking really well."

Yeah looks pretty locked in.

Heaps of people ask me what the best weather "app" is for simplistic forecasts.
This. Below is the best.
Yr.No

Its a co-op between the Norwegian Meteorological Institute and the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation.
It uses the highest resolution global model in the world. www.ecmwf.int

It also updates 4 times a day.
Completely agree. I have been using Yr.no for over a decade now and I have found it the best site for weather. BOM is absolutely hopeless in comparison.

One of his main points was promote youth. Play the young guys even if we lose, because we need to find out if they are the future.
This is perfect for us if they do, because playing youth at the expense of winning matches, helps us get better picks for our Hawthorn related picks this year.
Point of clarification.

They could stack their team and still comfortably lose. It's a horribly weak list.

We're a lock to have 4 picks in the top 40

Ooh. Brave man, the YES votes are currently winning.

From Fox on the Hawks Team selection:

Emerging youngster Will Day also trained away from the main group doing run-throughs but is expected to face the Swans, while Harry Morrison is available after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The Hawks are yet to decide on their team but Mitchell said there are several youngsters waiting in the wings for an opportunity after some eye-catching performances in their VFL practice match against Essendon.

Developing ruckman Max Ramsden kicked four goals in a standout display in their VFL practice match win over Essendon, while draftees Josh Weddle (23 disposals, five tackles) and Henry Hustwaite (21 disposals, seven clearances) and trade recruit Cooper Stephens (24 disposals, five tackles) were also impressive.

Imagine how Joel will feel if Longmire names a 'Joel Amartey type player' and it's not him.
