Putting on size ..... I watched Mac Andrew today - he is an actual stick. Wow ! Can't see him ever really filling out that
much but I could be wrong ..... it may take 3 or 4 years ?
Well he's only 18. Sharman is 22, King the same. Would say they fill out by the time they are at least 25.

Do you think putting on extra kg will improve his agility? And where do you see him playing?
Nothing wrong with his agility he actually moves really well and he will be a forward

Did you watch yesterdays game ? He is number 43

So was he so good at leading patterns they thought he'd make a great back? Anyway his next game is his first real test at AFL level...but in what postion will he play if Howard gets up?
Yes because it’s all binary isn’t it.
Of course no forward has been played in the backline in their career’s infancy have they.
Making some great points, he should be delisted at years end.

It's not linear. Putting on size won't effect his agility if he does it properly, and being in a professional sporting organisation I assume that that will be managed properly.

I see him ultimately moving into the forward line, similar to how Riewoldt played as a defender in his earlier years and then moved into the forward line after that. But Sharman has the tools to play either end of the ground. Many key defenders have the ability to turn into forwards, too. Gehrig the most obvious example for us but it happens all the time at nearly every club.

Going back to your earlier comment though (that Sharman isn't a KPP), there's players in the competition considered KPP's who are shorter than Sharman. Sharman definitely is a KPP, he just needs to put on size.

Couldn't disagree more with this

He’s not a KPP - not big enough - He is a 193 plenty big enough, could name a dozen players of similar size like other posters have

He’s not a flanker- lacks agility. - Watch yesterdays game and his closing speed and leap to help out other defenders it was 1st rate and has never played in defense his last couple weeks in the back 6 is very underrated
He almost takes mark of the year about twice a week. Has the ability to leap shoulder high on a whim. Could be Liam Ryan esque when they stick.

Genuinely need to ask the question about how we move forward with Marshall.

He is half the player as a forward ruck as opposed to a genuine ruckmen.

As good as Ryder is, are we hurting ourselves?

Is Lobb the answer?

Gut feeling says we can’t let sentiment rule our decision making at the end of this season
As I said in the recruiting thread a while back it is time to let Ryder go and just play Marshall as our No 1 ruck from now on.

Marshall is now at the age that ruckmen go best. This season his tapwork has really improved and you see him directing many of his taps now to running players which just was not in his skillset.

He has always been a good follower and he in this role is like an extra mid.

Whereas up forward Marshall is handy, but just has not come on with how a big forward needs to play and move.

If Paddy stays, they need to reverse roles. But Paddy is only one more year at best as injuries now seem to be frequent.

Some see Heath as the next No 1 ruck and Marshall forward still. Forget it. Heath if ever cannot be that for at least years yet. And Marshall is in his prime now.

We need another forward ruck or play Hayes next year.

It's not his height that will restrict him from being a kpp, it's his ability. The coaches are clearly concerned and are experimenting and it's worh a shot becaue there is absolutely no other choices at Sandy.

Id say his severe lack of agility is why he's not playing forward and it impacted his ability. Remembering he's not in the forward line because he's killing it.
Sorry really don't know weather you are being serious or trolling, either way its a silly post

Severe lack of agility? Wtf are you on about? You are the only person who thinks that.
The bloke just played a great game in defence and showed he’s got plenty.
Every game you come on here after and try and shit talk Sharman. Extremely weird vendetta.

Lol, he's more than capable.

Sharman a KPP - jeez some people are desperate for an argument today.

Guess Owens is a KPP as well.

He's 192 cm, played at FF at times yesterday.

Got KPP players coming out our ears!!

He didn’t have a “severe lack of agility” when kicking goals end of last season.
His learning his craft forward and back, not sure the reason for your total negativity about him.

That's a strange thing to say, are you struggling to contribute something objective. Go slowly and have a go at explaining why he was moved from the forward line. If he's such a great forward why are the coaches experimenting with him down back? And remember we don't all have to be fan boys and gush unobjective emotional cliches. Some of us are free thinkers.

But yet he's a kpp in the forward line playing in the backline. Where does he play when Howard comes back or does Howard go into the forward line.
Do you know what a KPP is? I would prefer him play forward when Howard returns but he has shown he has the ability to play both.

He’s not the first player to play on both lines you know…Battle a very recent case in point.
