Has his limitations but Blanck was fantastic today. That hit on Daicos was fair but made him earn it.
The one thing that is such a refreshing change is that Mitchell has a very clear way he wants us to play. You can actually see a roadmap, an identity. Haven't seen this in 6 years and it's very exciting.

My daughter's just turned 4 and had been devastated by the Richmond loss as she had been hanging out to sing the song that day, only to be in tears at the end.

I wasn't so sure it was a good idea to take us to the game this week, as too many losses can kill the love of the game at that age, and i spent the tram trip in explaining how we are the youngest side in the competition and that as long as the team try their best we should be happy. But the hawks saluted and my daughter finally has her first W. Thanks to the fellow hawks fans who gave her a bunch of high fives. Being able to run out and have a kick afterwards and celebrate was just awesome.
Love it! Hope you and your daughter have many more. My 17 year old was late to a friend's 18th so she could come to the game. She has her priorities sorted.

Wardy didn’t flinch going back and Hill(?) tried to run through him. Collingwood player lined him up and Ward didn’t hesitate for one moment. Was right in front of me and was an awesome effort.
It was a cultural effort. It changes everything. We are no longer the easy beats. Just stunning Wardy.

What was pleasing which noone is mentioning, when the pies started to get a run on, we were able to kill the momentum but also keep attacking. 5 or so minutes of slow play hitting those 45 degree passes, ending up inside 50 for a shot at goal. Can't remember if we scored, but thought it was really mature, and we learnt a lot from the games where we'd be running hell for leather tmwhen we got a chance

Can't wait for the boun
Absolutely love how Jai doesn’t take s**t from anyone. Last saw that from a young Hodge.
I noticed a bit of that in Finn today too. Just seemed like he had this game marked on his calendar for a while now and reckon he would've got enormous confidence out of that performance.

Reckon killing the momentum and maintaining the possession would've been a big point of focus after last weeks heartbreaker

Chad’s last 4-5 weeks have been excellent obviously he won’t get a similar contract to last time but what are your thoughts on keeping him?
1yr contracts, he has been superb since his return, it appears that he feels free to play. It also appears that he is heavily invested in the club, perhaps now his worth will show for us for a few years yet.

We should offer him what he’s worth and if he wants to go so be it. He’s made our forwards a lot more potent the last 3 or 4 weeks. Ideally I would hope we can get another 2 good years of footy from him.

Our midfield transformation has been amazing this year. I feel like it was only yesterday everyone on this board was so flat that our midfield looked so one paced and had no creativity or power. Turns out most of the answers were under our nose the whole time. We looked so big compared to the pies midfield

As someone who didn’t watch the game, what was the difference in todays game compared to all your others? Pies a bit off or Hawthorn Premiership team?

Welcome! I think that we explored slowing the game down when it was required, especially the learnings from last week against the Tiges, for mine anyway.

Pies were off and fumbly, but that was a product of our pressure as much as anything. The difference between the two teams tonight (besides obviously the midfields) is that we balanced attack with controlling the ball down back when we needed to play tempo footy.

I take everything I said about Nick Daicos back. What a game 3 votes, completely took Finn Maginness out of the game.
