Do any of you punters have any stats regarding our win-loss ratio the next week after a Derby win?

It seems that more often than not there is a loss. I just have no facts to support it.

So we're only a chance of backing up with a win if we're playing GWS:(

Can we argue Culley instigated the contact and Fyfe was taking reasonable actions to defend himself? Which is all true. Then Culley's actions redirected Fyfe's arms. Then he staged for a free kick.
Can we not just show the tribunal a photo of Jai Culley with his tongue hanging out, being an absolute ********?

"Where a Player intends to forcefully push or fend an opposition player off the ball (including to gain separation for the purpose of contesting
the ball) and the effect is that the player “strikes” their opponent, the strike will usually be graded as Intentional."

He wasn’t doing it for separation, he was doing it to counter culleys push.

Watching that behind goals footage i can’t see any hit to face

He staged it for free kick

Hits him square on the jaw. Even if you can’t see it, you can’t make your own head snap back like that.

I was dubious at first, but that footage is clear. Sadly, he got him high and he knew it by trying to hold him up after.

This on top the Essendon pile on has me nervous this week.

Never a good omen when the oppositions supporters are writing their own team off

Culley was running around being a ****ing irritant all night. If he ran into Fyfe and Fyfe was warding him off, then surely that’s all about who instigates contact.

If Fyfey had actually hit the prick it would have knocked his frightwig off.

Considering the campaigners cost him a third Brownlow with a very trivial suspension he should be given 50% extra leniency on any future indiscretions.

The good guy card ?.

I can get lots of good references from cockies, from way out west.

It’s really crazy how punching a guy who’s running away from you in the back of the head gets one week and fending off a guy who’s about to shove you also gets a week.

The “intentional” criteria are kinda ****ed.

"fend an opposition player"......

Yes, but the rule was written for a player initiating contact for their own benefit. Fyfe was minding his own business (even looking away) running backwards when Culley starts running at him, so Fyfe stops and braces for contact from a player who had previously taken a cheap shot at someone when they weren't even looking.

I don't know what our legal team can come up with, but I guarantee if Cripps was the offender, then the Carlton lawyer would get him off.

A bit like the days of Richmond when they were sheeit. They eat their own.

That reminds me of the day (eons ago), when the Bulldogs fans were getting a bit feral against the Royals. When the teams were coming off at half time, Ron Alexander grabbed a trainers bucket and upended it on some Bulldog members. Was just cooling them down.

Yep 100% agree...just stating what the law says about off the ball fends and intentional.
Your post is what they should run with though to try and get it downgraded to careless.
