Hawks have historically been one of our bogey clubs, a club we historically struggle against.

Saying that, we have beaten them once at Waverley. That was in the 1990s.

Got a win over them in docklands in 2001. Our only win vs the hawks in docklands.

We got that elusive win over the hawks in Tassie In 2021.

Time to complete the set and get that 1st win vs the hawks at the MCG.

We were close in 2011. Should of won that after a 3 or 4 goal lead at 3 quarter time.

I don't need to bring up the 2013 grand final

Strategic and inspirational coaches do that. Was a huge part of Eagles 2018 flag.
I heard it from an ex eagles premiership player in 2018 that sam mitchell was pulling the main strings with that grand final victory. Simpson was just sitting in the passenger seat

I think that was 2008 or 2009, when we had a string of close losses after being in fron most of the game hahaha
He was a classic and we removed him from the box at the right time..

He was uninspiring.

Players didn’t play for him.

Spoke with little conviction.

Game style wasn’t up to it.

Sounds a little familiar..

I’m not that fussed about public speaking, although it does help to an extent as thise types are usually more effective in getting a point across. Teflon Terry Wallace was a great speaker but his tactics were pretty ordinary (not terrible but not great either, just ordinary)
JLo does have the footy knowledge just his reaction or lack there of when things aren’t going to plan is a big deficiency of his and I’m still not convinced he can improve on that

Just remember Wallace’s flood tactics stopped Essendon’s 20 game run. I see your point though.

I would give as many young kids a go as possible but that’s just me. Season is done save all our top 22 for next year. Would hate to see one of our guns go down with a serious injury to end the season

To what end? Hugh Davies got put in a spliff by Tyler Keitel last week, I shudder to think what an AFL forward does to him. And we've got about half a dozen young guys less AFL ready than Davies. Playing Conrad Williams this week in the AFL would be a bit like having your first sparring lesson be against Tyson Fury: it will do more harm than good.

I think the only guys that played WAFL last week who can benefit from an AFL game this week are Brodie, NOD and Reidy.
