What time does the Saints tribute kick off on 7? I feel like getting all emotional
I vote for Big Carl. Not getting any younger and was a wonderful player and servant to the club.
He was a very scary player for all opposition teams to contend with. What about Winmar ?

No, actually I was talking about Noir...but the whites are freakin' amazing in Tas
Over here in the Ireland & UK, the NZ whites are getting lots of fanfare and it's deserved as New Zealand white wine is very, very good...but Tassie is equal to it. Just not promoted

NZ whites are the most over hyped in the world. Solid but not that exceptional. Everyone was drinking sav blanc a few years back. They've dropped off a bit here and everyone's on the rosé.

Still s**t scared this is going to turn out the same as the last two years in marquee games and games against the Bombers

Yep, usually the Saints put on a comedy festival show for these events. Lyon has given them a bit more mental resilience hopefully.

My fear for the season ahead is that we need total commitment to our defensive structures. I don't think our makeshift forward line has enough firepower to pull back a 4-5 goal deficit during a game.

All the more reason we just need to stay in games and break them open late with our run and fitness.

That's the recipe for tonight. Keep it tight and get them in the second half.

Take no prisoners Saints.

Saints by 10 pts.

What a great opportunity this presents for Hunter Clarke.

No longer a young player, it’s time he fulfills his potential. We know all about the horrible injuries he has suffered over years, but we have also seen him play some incredible games. His hands can be brilliant.

I expect he will get more looks through the midfield in Steele’s absence (as may Gresham, with Sinclair a break glass in case of emergency type if we find ourselves behind and needing a line breaker).

Whether he gets more midfield minutes or not, he’s had a pre-season, he’s had a solid first couple of games, he’s 24 years old now and should be entering the best years of his football life.

Time to stand up.
He might also get more attention now with the opppos best or better now competing with him instead of Steely.

But agree with the sentiment, this presents an opportunity to announce himself as a possible bonafide DP7 and potential A grader.

Same goes for Byrnes, he won't get too many more opportunities especially when your number one job in the team is to carry the ball and gain territory and you go from 580m one week and 70m the next. That's breaking Lyon's number one non negotiable so he really needs pull out some tricks tonight.

It would be great to win but it will be even better if we see some improvement in our fringe players and also the 2nd to 4th year players as this is the year of exploration so the narrative goes.

Good luck and i would love nothing more than to see Phillipou tearing Essendon a new one.
Philippou said himself in one of the interviews, he is most looking forward to the ESSENDON game. To show them they made a mistake picking Tsatis over him. I hope the other young bucks like Byrne, Caminiti, Owens, Winghager, Nas even slightly older blokes like Stocker; Clark; Higgins all step up and show everyone how good they are.

New boys on the block Owens, Windhager, Caminiti, Phillipou didn’t play last seasons game & are our shining lights this year, we’ll be fine.

Righto flogs. I'm at the Richmond Club Hotel on Swan Street until 6. If you want to meet up I'm up stairs on Level 1 outside near the train lines.
I'm wearing the 150th jumper.

Was at crown and lost 10 bucks. Bet black instead of red.
