Round 3 trades

Had been prepared to sit with Cripps, but there seems to be a bit of word going around that rested for back soreness = dropped. Looking at three options:

(1) Cripps --> NVB
(2) N Brown --> McIntosh
(3) Freeman --> Heeney

Right to say (1) and (2) would be the priorities out of that lot?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

LOL "A bit of word" are you referring to the post made by TheOz from earlier today?

Out: Ablett, Miller.
In: Treloar, Van Berlo.

You've got a few people voting option B, so let me make the Case for A.

Sloane and Rance are two guys you would comfortably have in your final squad. Two trades, two keepers, GAJ's form/price/fitness is addressed without harm and Goodes can be forgotten about completely.

In the second option, you're spending extra trades to get... how many keepers? Sloane, sure. Though you'll be paying MAX dollar for him. But NVB, as good as he looks for money-making is only a money-maker. He's not a keeper, and you only realise the benefit of a cow like NVB if you spend another trade on him later. And Docherty? As much as he's been Carlton's ONLY shining light and he's looked good, is he definitely a top-tier defender? Is he worth jumping on? If he's a keeper, than so be it, but it's still 3 trades to get two keepers, versus 2 trades to get 2 keepers at lower cost and sooner.
Great post.

You're spot on with NVB. I suppose the alternative is saving a trade but then having to rely on Miller to earn coin instead. Not much point in having an extra trade if I've got no money to spend on the trade.

Hmmmmm more confused than ever.

PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS ONE, Im sure most of us are faced with the Gaz conundrum...
What would you do with this team? Trying to climb the overall ranks (currently 27,000ish)

Which of the 2 following do I focus on?
1. trade out Gaz to a top Premo Mid/Fwd (I like Shiel, Sloane, JPK, Treloar, Jack, Buddy, Pavlich)
2. bring in cashcows NVB or VDBerg for Cripps (I have all of the cheap Cashcows bar these 2, and I view Shiels, Docherty and McDonald as $50,000 cashcows next week anyways.....)
3. upgrade Goodes to Savage/McDonald/Doc in the backline
4. bring in Goldstein in the ruck

Capital Letters indicate players Im convinced I need to move......

Shaw, Lumumba, Newnes, Saad, Oxley, McIntosh (Brown, GOODES)
ABLETT (?), Fyfe, Wines, Dangerfield, Rich, Beams, Heaney, Ellis-Yolman (Miller, Smith, CRIPPS)
Bellchambers LEUENBERGER (Cox)
Bont, Gray, TexW, Swan, Bennell, Hogan (MClarke, McGrath)

Gaz --> Sloane/JPK?
Dudberger --> Goldstein?

With the round 12 bye to take into consideration, and having GAJ, Jobe, Fyfe and Heeney in my mids, I'm reluctant to bring in Pendles or JPK for GAJ. They would be my 2 preferences. Should I just ignore the bye conundrum at this stage as it's still 10 weeks away? Anyone else in this position?

Heeney will be gone by rd12 if that counts

You will recieve the benefit of a cash cow ie NVB if he keeps scoring around 100

If you're not trading out Goodes to a keeper, it seems to be a bit of waste of a trade for mine. Not sure if Docherty will be a keeper. Goodes will probably make some cash sooner rather than later, can't see Hrovat or Hunter coming in for him and Cordy and Grant were reasonably average against the tigers.
