I thought Noodle had his best game as a solo ruck against a duo that has normally had field day against us. One of them had to start throwing their weight aro7nd and will pay a price.

Scrimshaw was very good except late in the game

Jai was the only midfielder that gave any meaningful drive

Morrison was just okay

The rest had a game they would rather forget today

Lewis was great bar the finishing, Reeves was good in the ruck work and took some great grabs and went forward well.

Titch was unreal, one of his best games since last year (Pies game?!)

Too many negatives.

Tough lesson but need to be realistic as hard as it is
Beat North - likely back to back spooners
Beat Port - now looking like a rabble
Loss to Blues - gave up 7 goal lead - blues getting rolled by gc at the moment

Saints loaded up 2 years ago to challenge. They just looked physically bigger/stronger and we unravelled agianst it.

We will cop the same next week too , lets see how we respond. Will need slick good ball use to trouble the cats
Though CMac and Ward looked a bit tired btw.
Hawks rating in my system is going to take a massive hit today.

Terrible decision making and skills throughout the day.
Couldn't connect or score inside 50.
Midfield as poor as ever.

Effort got worse as the game went on.

Go at it.

Shocking day! Can we take anything out of Carlton poor performance, was last week game that taxing?

I would of taken 2-2 heading into the season. How well we respond will be very interesting to see how our season looks.

- The Midfield must be address.

True dat (did not see that coming at all) - definitely an aberration.
But this is actually a genuine question if anyone knows. Thanks
Former player from the 50's. Geoff Wilson i think it was who they announced prior to the game

Reeves was brave today. Legitimately unlike those drug cheating campaigners.

Stood up against two quality ruckmen and held his own. Must be absolutely knackered.

Need to stop giving teams such a big lead in the first half. Better off being more conservative early and trust that once the sting goes out of the game our good ball users at half-back can get the job done setting up attacks.

That was a genuine stinker. We knew at the start of the year this was going to happen with our young side. Just can’t let it happen like that again.
Some young lads might need a rest, it's going to be a long year. Our response next game will be interesting.
I thought that our strength (rebound from back) from previous games was rather weak and exploited by the saints. Saints looked harder at than us and we got a bit out coached too.

Genuinely interested in how people saw Finns game in this one. I didn't think he was all that bad and I think I'd prefer he remain in the side as opposed to a few of our other mids.
He's a scape goat. He could literally have 40 touches at 100% with 4 goals, and people would want him dropped.

In reality, he came on when the game was done and his teammates were doing nothing to help him

Would be in my top 10 today. Not sure if that says more about Finn or the rest.

Liked his effort. Can certainly find the pill.

Same, think it says a lot about the rest if he can be top 10 based off a half that was just ok
