Callaghan and Cameron out. Have to clear room in my forward line with a reasonable possibility that Van Rooyen and .Brockman are must haves next week. Don't want to bring in a premium mid as I need to transfer a forward to mids next week or trade out Caminiti, which would be crazy..

Cameron > Amartey. Saw only glimpses of the match but a forward kicking 3 behinds and still scoring 78 is promising.
Callaghan > Baker (Def) by Constable to mids.Could afford Stewart/Dawson but Baker's DPP status is handy.

Next week I can move a Fwd premo in to the mids to create a spot for Van Rooyen and trade Greene to Brockman if the BE is right. The rest can moo.

Is it worth trading Hopper (M6) in?

Callaghan>Hopper
Phillipou>Rowston

Was initially interested in GWS Bucks but some have raised low possession DT/SC ratio concerns and whether It’s sustainable. Got me thinking twice. Sheez & Ziebell getting Def status soon also gives good cover so probably don’t need Bucks and now looking at Hop.

Am I crazy for getting both Buckley and Amartey this week? Cameron, McGovern and Callaghan for to English, Amartey and Buckley. Leave 150k in the bank to.
Not crazy, it's all about the cash gen.

I'm going to hold Callaghan I think :( Need to trade DC, and now have both Chesser and Constable as dead rookies. Can't trade out out blokes still playing this week.

I have both them aswell. Chesser I'll swap to 1 of the forward rookies on the bubble next week. Still hopeful Constable can get a few games soon.

After watching Callaghan the last 2 weeks I can't stand 1 more week of him in my team.

The only person who went up more than Chandler (88k) was Sneeze (106k). Cash is king. Whatever people did last week could have been done this week instead.

It also depends on what bank you were sitting on.

I downgraded an underperforming premium and was left with $227k. Cameron to English with enough leftover to easily bring in Candler. Again, far from ideal, but necessary.

Daicos went up 44k
Ziebell went up 44k
Setters went up 58k
Chandler went up 83k

It pays do to the price rise calculations before trading. Chandler was the #1 priority. Could have got the rest this week and saved money.

Reasoning is sound but it doesn't take in to account injured players and also potential loss $$$ for the traded out player before price changes

DC > Grundy
Mackenzie > Chandler via Poo
Butters > TT

A week late on Chandler but he’s best 22 & has the role to play at D6. Hate sideways trades but got the Butters/Taranto moves wrong & biting bullet now.
I dont agree with any of this. It's still early and I haven't had coffee yet, but why the hell would you trade out Mackenzie!?

Best way to open up cash to upgrade cameron?
1. Jhf to chandler
2. Ridley to day
3. Jhf to jvr- means I go early on van rooyen but then also allows me to go Ridley to stewart the next week

If I go ahead with my planned trades, I'll be running the following down back for a few weeks (until Sheezgull and Ziegull get DPP)

Wilmot, Cowan (Chesser, Constable)

Genuinely concerned Cowan gets dropped, and Chesser is injured, and Constable won't come back

I might not be able to do my planned trades :(
Any idea when dpp changes come into effect? Sheezel and Ziebell would be brilliant

because it’s the only way I don’t alter my overall structure, unless I cull JHF instead from F4 for Chandler which is what I’m also considering.

After round 6 (so in round 7, at least one will be in our backlines)

Can't complain, strong start to the year and sitting in top 200 with the correct rookies at this stage.

But genuinely puzzled about Worpel, thought he'd generate enough cash this year for a mid-season trade but that 45 is ****ing atrocious and Hawks are trash.
Are people keeping him? Could sideways to Hopper, does anyone have CBA stats for Hopper vs Worpel?

Don't see a need to make multiple trades to shift Worpel out without a rookie to chase.

I have Worpel and looking at bringing in chandler via DPP. That 45 stops cash gen for 3 weeks and he was honestly lucky to score even that!

CBA's down from 71% week one to only 57% last week. Looks like Nash is now getting his CBA's. He needs more then 57% to score points imo

Hopper is averaging 65%

The only saving grace is hawks play cats this weekend and the midfield composition of Geelong might actually help him, but if Sam uses him even 20% forward like he did on the weekend i think its time to trade him

My other thought is if i do hold him i get another look at Pickett and also Yeo who should play this week

Hayden Young > Will Day my only move this week.

Eyeing off turfing JHF if he doesnt hit his BE this week. Possibly for Gulden or even Jeremy Cameron as a POD, Cats will start to build after the poor start.

Absolutely agree.

I think most people trading in JZ and Setters were

1) Playing them on field
3) Expecting 95-105
3) Assumed Chandler would struggle to go over 70 vs Swans

Obviously knowing that Chandler would outscore both mid pricers everyone would have gone there as it changed the cash calculations significantly, Chandler at 65 vs Swans was expected to make 67K with JZ (100) making 55K and Setters (105) making 70K.

In hindsight Chandler was easily the correct pick but I understand based on cash projections + on field scoring why people went the other way

Also it's a definite 2 trade situation compared to a [likely] keeper.
Daicos is 100% a keeper, the other 2, as you say, could have been considered as such after a hot start.

I don’t own Ladhams 😂
Probably worse that you a) started with him and b) took 3 rounds to trade him.

Edit: Ladhams ownership is based on round 3 squads when you in fact did own him. 🤮🤮
