All the makings of a 4 goal to 0 game, best case scenario.

Randall predictably timid approaching the contest and comes off second best, not that I was expecting her to do anything in these conditions (but I wouldn't have selected like 12 8-footers either).

Passage right at the end of the half was a textbook example of the star players needing to show more discretion.

Conti great gather in traffic but then gives it to Seymour who fails to get boot to ball. Riddell then picks it up clean and has time to wheel around to kick it long... instead gives it to Rennie 2 metres away who immediately drops it.

Don't handpass to blonks who can't even hold onto the ball!

Kearney "does a hamstring" during 3rd in game in <9 days...

Brennan doesn't get up in time for the match either...

Even if these are super mild and precautionary, two more of the biggest names in the league not out there purely because of the AFL's fixturing.

Adelaide forward structure a dog's breakfast. Urgent changes needed for the Crows.

Dawes very threatening when she gets it at HF up the other end, but some nice passages haven't quite been finished off. A win today and I'd say it locks in the million-dollar cheque for the Lions.

A bemusing high up-and-under kick by Gould to a 1-on-3 I50, but Hatchard still marks it and goals lol. Hope Danielle Ponter took notice: front position and actually attacking the ball does wonders!

Chekhov the siren sounder is having trouble sounding the siren at Springfield. Can't see that popping up as an issue again at the end of this small-margin game...

Not really a great selling point trying to sell something as "less dire".

Would have expected a step up in scoring and skills as the league becomes more professional but it seems like a lot of games are marred by horrific decision making and poor skills. Condensed schedule and weather doesn't help, but there is a monstrous gap between watching games like Geel vs Hawks then tuning into to some of the games the next day.

Players like Ella Roberts are clean near 100% of the time yet some players struggle to pick the ball up the 1st time.

Has the quality of the game improved from last year?

Not reading it, but the standard is a lot better than previous years. Most games the ball movement is getting the ball to half forward. It's the last disposal I side 50 breaking down. Different from a few seasons ago where it was a grind, take no risks type of feel

I literally can't remember how the standard was last year but this year has been a bit disappointing for me this year. Should be getting past basic errors like kicking into the man on the mark 10 metres out or losing games by basic skill errors in the last minute of games. Missing from 10 or 15m out shouldn't be a regular occurrence.

Hawks were pretty poor last year and now their skills are outstanding. Can't say that for many teams.

Do you have the same opinion of the mens?
The skills there are just as bad. Only difference is the male players react quicker to miskicks

Virtually no AFL players regularly fumble the ball or can't hit targets. Handball disposal effectiveness is near 100% under no pressure. AFL skills are unbelievable in hitting targets.

There are aspects of AFL that a lot of games have which I don't like though which makes it a bit of a keepings off game at times.

Players like Harry McKay rightfully copped it in previous years for being unable to kick simple goals.

I don't think comparing AFL to AFLW is necessarily beneficial but I also think AFLW shouldn't be immune to criticism.

Horror loss by the Crows. Lots of mistakes they'll rue. But yes that was a far more enjoyable game of football for a neutral to watch than the shit served up yesterday which was far less worthy of its bloated 2h 40min+ runtime.

They should be selling that its not mens football, and expecting scores to be the same as in mens is dumb. So, it isn't low scoring, its normal scoring, for womens football.

Should be illegal to put up tables without adjusting for changes in quarter length
