We won away from Marvel
Howard’s game
Coffield Clark and Paton as a backline. Showed composure, still very very young.
Steele showed what sort of midfielder he can be.
Butlers front and centres

disliked:
Lonies decision making.
Two rucks. I don’t think playing Ryder and Marshall works sadly.
When the pressure was on, we went away from playing our style.
That’s the most noticeable and disappointing thing from us this year. When we’re pressured we go back in our shells and bomb down the line.

We can’t wait for that though. Still over half a season to go but totally agree. He has never played with an ordinary midfield.

What about Hannebery and hunter Clark. Bring Webster in to replace battle and Clark’s defensive rebound. Fingers crossed 🤞 for Hanners. Battle is better forward to replace a Kent or lonie.

Ross got 9, cant keep gifting him games. Was slow too.

Don’t undervalue this win.

this was adelaides big stand first game back at home in 3 months 20,000 in the crowd they wanted this. It was effectively there grand final for the year and we beat them. Was it pretty know but we did what good teams should do and what we should of done last week.

hostile ground against a team who’s back was against the wall it was a professional performance.
Our reward is same place on Saturday night against a better team.

Marshall seems down on confidence, and the opposition are putting more work into him now. Abbott might be knocking on the ruck door.
No way we play Ryder and Abbott

We have short memories. Marshall was close to best on ground against the Blues and everyone was wondering why we'd play 2 rucks.

We won. I’ve never cared what the games looks like after a win. And I think the lack of training together is effecting every side.

Most important we actually managed to wrest back the momentum when they were really pushing and we weren’t playing so well.
That’s a really good result considering we haven’t been able to do it already twice this season.

As terrible as some of the decisions were in that game we can't blame the umpiring for nearly throwing one away against the worst side in the comp. We just get scored against way too easily on the turnover, and it seems like as soon as teams start applying more pressure we struggle to deal with it.

4 points is 4 points and very happy we won, but that won't be one I will watch again. Oh and by the way, that moment when Lonie took the ball of Gresh from the deliberate in the 3rd quarter, I hope he copped a massive spray for that - extremely selfish.

I agree. The crows werent that bad tonight, particually when they zoned off and stopped our run out of defensive 50
Yep, hopefully. Two years ago I liked Ross. He’s a liability now.
I think we are asking the wrong question. It shouldnt be "who do we replace him with" it should be "what does the team need to do to get him back into form?" At his best Ross averages 28 disposals a game and a bunch of clearances, you dont just give that kind of ability up.

With regards to our rucks its not the end of the world for Ryder to chop out Marshall against guys like Obrien, Gawn and Grundy. They said its a week to week proposition. It essentially allows Marshal to develop whilst still remaining competitive. Especially in the Centre.

Coff was always going to come on. I have been his biggest fan since early in his draft year. People have to remember the two games after the break were essentially his first two in about 10 months. Since then I'd argue he's been in our top 5 most consistant. He still makes the occasional mistake but his confidence is increasing by the second. More impressive is that his defence has improved ten fold. He could genuinely be our Elliot Yeo.

Like Plugger said we need to find ways to get Brad Hill involved, especially early in the second half. We can;t afford to have a top 5 player playing at the level he is. Gresham will be fine too. he could have easily kicked 3 goals. He does need to learn how to move his way through the contest with his feet a little more so he can direct his insid e 50's a little better. Honestly though think he just needs some more luck.

Our ball movement out of defence is becoming a concern especially in the second halves. I think between marshall, King and Ryder/Battle/Membry?Marsh they are all getting to congested. We need to hold back a little more and read off the pack a little better. Perhaps play Butler around the ball more in the second half. This could also be an issue with the wingers. Need a bit more lead up.

Love our defence, for some reason Wilkie has struggled against Adelaide but he is a gun so will give him Benefit of the doubt. I love how they can all intercept mark though. In the second you could see how valuable it was. Between Clarke, Carlisle, Wilkie etc we're devleoping a really well ballanced defence.

Wasn't it great to see hundred of SA Saints fans together and singing the song.

Great job guys, to hear the song loud and clear was fantastic. You guys have waited a decade to see us win live.

Big thumbs up.

In: Hanners, Robbo
Out: Byrne, Battle.

Maybe one or two more after a 5 day break.
