The coaches should show the Mayes kick to Robbie on loop this week. Look at what can happen when you kick it to the advantage of a forward, rather than bombing it on his head on repeat (or directly over his lead to his opponent).
Strangely, in the last two matches, Butters and Rozee have both kicked over Robbie’s head in identical fashion, when all they needed was a 15m chip pass in front of him. We have to clean that up.

Nah you can follow an opponent through the mark and into the protected zone. But if the guy that you're following doesn't cut across the mark, then you can't. The Port player got ran behind, and the Carlton player tried to short cut to avoid getting blocked from the handball pass off.

Clear 50m penalty since the handball receive never occured.
This is not the current rule / interpretation since the expansion of the protected area. In the event that a player does get in the way, umpire is to blow their whistle, clear the protected area and then resume play. Exactly as was done.

It is quite bizarre, but after 7 games we have only lost one and in top position a game and percentage clear.
However as it currently stands we have not yet beaten another current top 8 team.
How Hinkley port is that. Top of the ladder and I am not even close to believing we have changed yet.
Edit forgot about gold coast
One of the reasons teams we beat early in the season are not in the eight is because we blnnndy well beat them, otherwise some would be in the fcjhken eights.

I know. And west coast now in
Not really what I was trying to say.
Collingwood, Richmond, Brisbane, Geelong
Beat these guys and even a grumpy old arseh*le like me will believe.
Edit: add Essington to that list. Those campaigners have the wood over us and kens tactics

A lot of complaining on the Carlton board about Nichols. Apparently he favours WA and SA teams...

Every supporter group in the league reckons Nicholls hates them specifically. This only happens because he's so incompetent that just by the law of averages he's bound to make 5 or so huge mistakes that hurt your team on any given week. He also probably makes 5 or so huge mistakes that hurt the other team every week, but football fans tend not to remember those ones.

One of my best mates is a Hawks supporter... even he say Nichols hates them - FMD!

King of the howlers how he gets a gig anywhere above park footy is beyond me.

So in regards to an incident that the umpire didn’t see fit to award a 50m penalty for because it was “in the contest”, Mitch McGovern has been charged for striking Kane Farrell. Yep, Carlton were certainly reamed by the umpires in this game.
For real? I thought Mitch was just clumsy? Or was it in the marking contest?

Crows got a 50m tonight, though.

Yeah we are rightly jumping up and down over Robbie Gray's great kick but Gray, Dixon and Marshall all had easy chances before that. We dominated the last ten minutes of that game and should have nailed it well before we did.
Correct, should have won by 4-5 goals

He's been holidaying on the Carlton board since last Sunday week.
We were fishing there, but we must have used a wrong bait. Despite the thread being really good, we left empty-handed.
