Reeves/Meek will have their hands full keeping up with English around the ground. He is the most mobile ruck in the leauge and mobility is not really one of our rucks strengths.

Not sure how we could negate his influence apart from instructing Reeves and Meek from wearing him down in the ruck contest?
Nash teaches Meek the TACKLE, Meek Tackles English, English to scared to come back on. ;)

Our most valuable asset, with an already lean list of key forwards, coming off a strained ACL....and we have a ready made ruck in Meek waiting.........and posters want to put Lewis in the ruck?
lot of them IMO are Kosi fans... They work out diff combinations that will ensure Kosi gets more chances to come good. Seen them come at this for various angles.

FWIW, Kosi atlast has a decent game at BH.. 1 game, not good, just ok.

I can't see Kosi getting another AFL game this yr if Lewis stays fit and Ramma gets his debut & tracks well. Only 3-4 injuries can give him another go. Still hope he puts on a good block of games, so we give him a 1 yr extn & other clubs see his value at end of season.

Also are we sure Lynch is injured and can't play against WB? If he isn't, I doubt Sam is going to drop him after 1 game.

Excuse my ignorance. I only watch Hawks games. Do the throw dogs play a second ruck?
Just the one traditional ruck. English goes all day and if he does needs a spell, Lobb and Naughton provide the chop out

Always nervous playing at Marvel. More so against the dogs who are the biggest front runners when on top. Feel it could get ugly, hope not.

We can't expect Reeve's to go one out against English, perhaps it's a good game to debut Ramsden as a chop out that can run with English...

Weddle and Butler must be close to breaking in, hard to see who for but. Starting to feel both Chad and Bruest can't be in the 22 together. Butler can't do much more at VFL level to earn an opportunity.

No idea how Weddle breaks in, as it won't be to play wing given he's not been playing that incredibly tough to learn role at Box Hill... part of me thinks that it's DGB's spot he might take soon. Frost isn't going to be dropped.

Mackenzie could use a rest. Mitchell can't be dropped. Not sure how Scrimshaw starts.

Stephens is going to have his work cut out getting a look in.

Lynch has concussion so automatically has to miss a week.

Concussion for Lynch = automatic 12 day break (minimum)

OUT - Lynch(inj) Long (unluckY) MacKenzie Breust (managed)

IN - Lewis, Day, Ward, Kosi

REASONING - Kosi is in good form. Lewis coming back can shoulder 2nd ruck duties - We go from having no key forwards to playing TWO - Fergus Greene gets to be a third tallish forward and becomes a difficult match up as they are busy minding both Lewis and Kosi. Small forward role to be split between Moore, Brocky and the Chad (also just quietly maybe pinch hitting with Impey up forward as his form has been good and he has tricks) Ward comes in for MacKenzie just because

Kosi isn't in good form. He was terrible two weeks in a row prior to this last performance.

I feel like the way Butler is playing at BH he is auditing for Breust’s role.

Weddle is tougher: CJ, Scrim, DGB and Frost also in the mix for 3 positions. The unfortunate reality is that we will have injuries along the way, so he should get a shot, but not sure we should rush it

I'm one of the biggest Dogs supporters going around (who isn't actually a Dog's supporter) but taking Libba out of that midfield and including Day into ours evens the playing field greatly.

I do agree actually regarding Libba, I think he's the Dogs most important mid Bont aside.

Out: Lynch (concussion), Hardwick (omitted), Morrison (Omitted), Scrimshaw (Omitted), Macdonald (Omitted)

In: Day, Weddle, Ward, God/Lewis

Long can play as second ruck, one of the omitted to play as sub

Wowee tough to pick a side
...
2nd ruck doing my head in. ...

Yeah, having similar thoughts and struggles.
Figure Lewis, Day IN and Lynch OUT are pretty much given. But trying to make that work.

Don't really want Meek back the week after being dropped after not really (based upon what I've read) responding as we'd like against a bottom VFL side.

So that leaves Ramma to debut or a spare parts to chop out Noodle.

My pref is Ramma to debut out of those 3 options, alongside Lewis.

So, Lynch (and gee I hope concussion doesn't end him) => Ramma
Probably Ned Long (unlucky) => Lewis
And Mackenzie => Day

And Scrim with his toe to sub again?

???
FIIK 🤷‍♂️

Out: Lynch Long Breust

In: Ramsden, Day Lewis

Ward might be available also?

Breust seems to be out of touch, could use a week to rest up. But really I am just finding it hard to omit someone to fit in Ramsden and Lewis 😵
