You'd think Logue would be back if or if we didn't want to rest Pearce next rd

Hamling probably needs more match practice in the WAFL after being out for so long... he's only played 1 full game in the WAFL so far

Only one game in the WAFL ? Far out, how much longer till his contract is up ?

We're only 3 rds into the WAFL at the moment lol

OOC end of next year

I really should keep up. Like my hat but ?

If Ras is good to go post concussion then 100%. Imagine he'd be itching to get back out there to perform and get his way back into the seniors
Didn't Banfield back up for Peel a couple of weeks ago after playing a quarter for Freo as the sub?

If this was the case they would be in the eight. Nah, they lost their only big threat pre-season. It's just that the guy (Pearce) finishes every game not able to kick properly.
He starts a some games not able to kick properly. GC tall forwards are kicking goals, I wouldn't want them to kick as many as they did last week.

Ras makes a good sub. Kind of player that could come on and have a real impact.
Sturt obviously needs more game time but he’s not far off.

Feel quite sorry for Hughes & Blakely who both played a lot of ok footy for us in leaner times but are now well back in the queue.

Kinda feel for Blakely who doesn't appear to have done much wrong the past season or two. Be good to trade him for some cutlery so he can have a crack at playing AFL footy.
Sadly, I think he is a half way player. Great at WAFL, but just misses the mark at AFL level.
And I think at he moment he he is teetering on the edge.
Might be trade bait at seasons end with a host of young all round talent.

I agree. It's not massive though.

They're pretty difficult to compare as they are different types. But, their role will be as a pressure forward so it's fair.

Fredericks - Banfield
D 9.4 - 8.0
M 3.4 - 3.0
G 1.3 - 1.0
I50s 2.3 - 2.0
GA 0.7 - 0.5
CM 0.3 - 0.5
MI50 0.5 - 1.0
SI 4.0 - 3.8
MG 151 - 190
IM 1.3 - 1.75
TI50 0.7 - 1.8

Statistically, Bandfield gets a bit less of the ball, but delivers inside 50, gains more ground (surprisingly), Intercepts more often (again, surprisingly), and tackles more inside 50. It's pretty clear Banfield's strength is locking it inside 50.

You need to adjust that for the fact that Banfield had two games as medi sub, one which he never came on and one where he played just under half a game. Banfield beats Freddy in pretty much every stat

He’s a free agent.

Having said that most clubs usually delist players prior to trade period (especially us). Unless someone retires he’s likely to be just about the second guy cut (Valente gone already).

Acres hadn't secured a consistent spot in the Saints 22, and when we got Colyer he wasn't either. Both are in career best form this year, one at the age of 27 and the other 31! Massive resurrections.
Acres has always had an element of being a work in progress, and probably still does. He really should be locked in best 22, but keeps slipping back. I think he still has upside, but not certain he gets there.

I am sure that he will be in Purple again next year, and more than likely a few more.
