Nah, he's shown very little, I'm just not bias. Questionable decision making, average execution, but he's from WA, so we ignore all that on this board. Cough Liam Henry cough
Have to MAJORLY disagree. Johnson is going fantastic for his age and where he is in his development. He takes them on, has a bit of attitude, his kicking is sublime (usually), he is huge and creates space and time. I would say he is miles ahead of David Mundy at the same point in their careers and I must admit, I was a little impatient with Barra but he made me learn my lesson.

He is currently playing slightly out of position. He will do way better in 18 months when he moves full time into the inside mid position as our bull, along with Young. He will drift and rest forward and dominate a half forward flank with his height and strength and size he will be an absolute nightmare matchup. He has a beautiful set shot too.

Mark him down, injuries permitting for 200 games in Purple, the last 150 at an elite level.

I dont care one little bit that he has one or two errors a game. Not a bit. Especially when he is looking to the corridor to open up play.

I agree - he is going to be amazing

I think we are seeing Son Son in his final year. But in the wings we have Simpson and Delean just waiting for the opportunity to perform. Both have great potential, with experience that potential will lead to performance.
I am not sure either will get many opportunities this season, but I reckon , either given the chance, will take it in both hands.
I am excited about our small forward situation.
I feel sad for Son Son, but he had to play in the Indigenous round - really wanted him to do something special. He tries bloody hard.

Not like Liam in the slightest. All Johnson needs is the balance between fending off and taking the first option. Once he figures that out he will look very good. You'd have to be blind to say he hasn't shown anything.
I also want Johnno to work on his speed and acceleration which he showed plenty of in his draft year. He probably lost some of it due to bulking up. In his draft year, we also saw quite a bit of his agility and evasion skills on show which he doesn’t seem to use. The kid has a lot of weapons but it will take time and the right attitude to develop them. That's not even considering his height which can be used in the forwardline like Petracca...

I know I've said this before, but I'm bored of every game game crowd going freeeeeoh wessssstcoooast, collingwooood. Every crowd sounds the same, either booing, groaning or sounding the chant. Kevin Parker gave us the perfect chant. An original chant. A chant that no other team could replicate because copyright.

Its the first two words. It's so up and energetic, that it makes the chant everyone else is doing sound like a dirge, a real drag.

Here it is. They play it half time. If your not getting another lame beer or having a *** outside , singalong with it and learn it. Start something happening.

What part of the stadium are you buying lame beers from?

I hope we can see Chapman attend some centre bounces this game.
I don’t. We actually need Chappy down back since Young is now a midfielder. We are stacked for inside mids, don’t need to convert more who have a better role elsewhere. Chappy on the other wing though could go alright.

No doubt Johnson is far from a finished product right now. He's not perfect and comes with some warts. But the beauty of that from what I can see is the development of him in real time across the season. It reflects the team's development too. That it's growth before our eyes and it'll get real exciting should they hit a critical mass of development and get into a groove at just the right time.

Johnson may not get to be elite. Few do. But I think he's doing what's asked of him to take it on. It can be costly because he doesn't quite have the chops yet, but there's payout when he does make the gamble work. Which is happening more often over time.

He and youngy will be elite.
Serong will be taking goal kicking lessons from these 2.

I see Johnson as our version of Tom Green, it took Green a few seasons to really hit peak Green and I think Johnson is on the same trajectory, that's exciting.

Don't know, there are bit of similarities to MJ and date I say it WARNER lol

The way they move, sort of upright...think MJ needs get his body to optimal to how he wants to play and also bit more explosive pace from stoppage

Give it two years you'll see the comparison isn't too far off

Hey guys, heading to your game tomorrow in alice, have just seen that there’s a fuel supply issue at the Perth airport and flights are cancelled, just wondering if anyone knows when your lads are supposed to fly out or have they already?
They posted video of them flying over Uluru yesterday afternoon so all good.

I'm excited by Johnson's development, but he doesn't make enough elite plays to indicate he'll definitely be elite. Young on the other hand has a solid body of elite plays he's made to make his pathway to eliteness more assured.

Reference to Henry was how protected he was on this board

Blind? Lol ok, just not bias. Funny how bias this board is to anybody that wears purple

As someone who protects Henry on this board, I can tell you for certain that he was not protected by others lol

I was constantly defending him.

For some reason you aren't seeing what Johnson offers, that's fine, I don't see what others see with Erasmus, your statement is incorrect though
