Get some lacteeze tablets. You can thank me later.
I'll be standing somewhere. Esp if it rains. My first time at this stadium. Where do Crows' fans sit?
20-40 mm forecast for tomorrow. Shower or two for Saturday. What's drainage like at the ground?80% chance of rain according to WeatherZone but doesn't look like much in it at this stage. Would be a lot more confident if it was raining. Just not got a good feeling about this game at all....but then again I did have a great feeling going in to the WB game....
What about the overhyped Hawthorn win?My thoughts are that the footy experts have this one wrong. I have seen every Crows slaughterfest at Spotless and you don't turn an 86 point average losing margin into a 40 pt win overnight on the back of that overhyped Carlton win.
These so called "Experts" have taken everything that Mick Malthouse said about GWS too seriously.
He was describing the performance of an improved GWS over his dismal club. This has to be taken in the context of that result and his need to play down Carltons ineptness.
The fact is Carlton made GWS look awesome. If GWS start believing the hype and think that we are Just another Carlton game then we are in with a huge chance to increase our average winning margin.
Except for Eddie and Sauce** we bare no resemblance to that rabble from Princess Park!
Crows by 100
** Add Eddie and Sauce to the Carlton side and they probably win.
That would be the bloke who used to spruce the butcher's stand at the Vic market. You'll know when GWS do well. Their supporter will get to his/her feet and cheer loudly for them, the sound echoing around an otherwise mostly empty stadium.
I've always maintained that GC will make finals before GWS. If GC get their full squad back for 2016, watch out. Like you, I think the Giants will tail off in the latter parts of the season and just miss out on the top 8 like GC last year. Of course I could be wrong, but I think some people have forgot the talent GC have as well.Lot of similarities between GWS this year and Gold Coast last year.
Both teams were 5-2 after the first 7 games. Each had a fantastic win against a good club (GWS v Hawks / GC vs North). Both got absolutely smashed when they travelled to Perth.
Have a read of the following game summary of the Suns after Rd 7 last year - Very similar to what I am reading about GWS this year.

I am not fully sold on GWS. Their best is very good and we (along with 11 other teams) are unlucky to get them in the first half of the season. Due to their massive stockpile of talent - I think they have the ability to be much much better than us on Saturday. However - due to their inexperience and youth their bad football will be much much worse than our bad football.
I think this one is a genuine flip of the coin and is 100% dependent on which Giants team turns up. Lets hope that a huge win over the reigning premiers and a smashing of Carlton in Melbourne has them a little ahead of themselves this week.
Yep, improvement isn't linearI've always maintained that GC will make finals before GWS. If GC get their full squad back for 2016, watch out. GC were thrashed by GC last week, but either last year or 2013, they pushed the Eagles to less than a goal in a high scoring game at Subi. It was the game GAJ had the chance to win it very late, but missed. It's amazing how quickly people forget the good, and just focus on the bad.Yep, improvement isn't linear
Ablett, O'Meara and Swallow are probably the Suns' best three mids and none of them are playing
Will improve quickly with their full side
Most would have said the same last year when GC were sitting 7-2, anything can happen. The giants will definitely make the 8 this year. They are like everyone else though, below freo, hawks and Sydney. Where they will finish like the rest is a lottery ATM.
True... But they are not a 1 man team. Most would have said the same last year when GC were sitting 7-2, anything can happen.
Neither are the GC, but when you then lose guys like Jaeger, Swallow and co, it will be a struggle. The Giants didn't do so well last year when Cameron was struggling. I'm not saying they're a one man team, but all sides have players that will severely hurt them if they miss.True... But they are not a 1 man team.
Haha don't get me started on the Hodge and Lewis- less Hawthorn game!!I'll be standing somewhere. Esp if it rains.
20-40 mm forecast for tomorrow. Shower or two for Saturday. What's drainage like at the ground?
What about the overhyped Hawthorn win?
No bias there....love itDuck has backed us
We will be safe from the spoon regardless! If we win this I think we will be safe from the spoon
Yes, gold coast are their own worst enemyGC were thrashed by GC last week, but either last year or 2013, they pushed the Eagles to less than a goal in a high scoring game at Subi.
