Itsmyshow Award: (Spammiest Poster: )
(written by Mooch )
View attachment 1316686
The award for the spammiest posted is named for Roys legend and leagueās favourite chud shake maker, Itsmyshow .
Last season to nobodyās surprise, this award was taken out by serial coup-er and KFC platinum card holder Supersuns , despite a tail off in activity late in the season.
This season shaped up to follow the same patterns, with Supersuns laying down the challenge in Round 1 with an impressive 230 posts. While this number for an individual round was only beaten twice more for the year - by our winner I might add - it wasnāt enough for SS to take out the award this time out.
The spammiest poster award is always a bit controversial at the BJO. The club ethos is to encourage participation but that posting numbers are not the be all and end all of contribution. And our winner in season 32 has some very strong views on that.
Which is why we can say that every single one of our heroes 2,395 posts in season 32 was quality; each one a stitch in a rich tapestry of stories, historian obsession with Eastern European sport, and mostly weirdness.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the winner of the Itsmyshow spammiest poster award for season 32. Mobbs .
Congratulations Mobbs !!!!
He was a boy named Perkins in a New England town, and his father owned the garage and his mother was the nurse at the grade school, and that summer it was hot and dry. It was a time before computers and cell phones and the T.V.s were black and white. Elvis sang songs on the radio. His mother had a sewing circle that came to his house every midday except when the father was home, and he no more wanted to spend time with a bunch of old ladies than he would at church. So he went outside and explored. He walked the lanes and streets of the village and stayed away from where his father would be. He walked into the woods, and would look up at the trees and marvel how tall they were. Or he would go to the river and watch the water. He saw other boys on a raft and thought he would like to try that someday. He stood in an open field and saw the mountain in the distance, and he had heard men talking about climbing the mountain and he thought he would like to do that sometimeā¦
āAre we meant to be on the field?ā.
āWe improved as soon as I stopped touching the ball.ā
