This season is starting to get that 11-4 vibe about it. Mid-year break and it's already job done - occasionally competitive on-field, contract in place for next year, crowds up, membership up, another profit tabled. That's the board's view, it's management's view and the players obviously just feed off that.

That certainly seemed to be the prevailing mindset out there tonight.

Choco had his faults, but jeez how refreshing would it be to see a seething hurting coach after an unacceptable loss again.. jeezus it at least shows they are fukcin' in it for the greater good.
Josh Carr walked out of the rooms for the start of the third quarter like an Auskick dad putting the cones out.

Hartlett and other assistants were standing around having a chuckle and a laugh at 3/4 time with the game in the balance.

Ken laughing after the game then walking into the presser smirking, cracking gags.

Mediocrity and acceptance of losing has swept through this club like a cancer.

Remember when Chocco would take the side over to the wing in front of the fans at 3Q time .....

We are just another plastic business now

Or 2022(?) when it was "grand final or bust". Oh, those heady days of ambition and expectation.

It's the PAFC equivalent of Prince Walter (one for Monty Python fans ;))

2021 - 12 goal prelim final loss
2022 - Miss finals
2023 - Straight sets exit.

Yet Hinkley is still hear.

Anyone got the press conference?
LOL, surely you can't be serious?

You know exactly, pretty much word for word, what will be said. He'll blame workrate, a disrupted preparation and an opposition that was harder at the ball than we were. Then it'll be how we didn't take chances, we couldn't get clean ball through the middle and didn't get forward enough. You also know that he'll get a couple of soft questions about when Rioli and Rozee will be back and how much we missed them and he'll walk out grinning all the way to the airport for his week off.

To be fair, he did say that that was across all competitions. How has that gone for us?

We do have a coach that broke a 40 year old record of failure. Does that count?
You mean he added in the across all completions part afterwards when he realised they weren't going close? Regardless, that just makes it all the more embarrassing.

Set a bold target but be too weak to make the hard decisions to get it done, then claim it was actually across all competitions and still fail to go close to doing it.
