Since Koch and Ken arrived at Port, there are only two sides that have been in contention for the finals every year - Geelong and Port Adelaide.

Port haven't finished below 11th.
Geelong haven't finished below 12th.
Everyone else has spent time in the lower rungs of the ladder and out of finals contention, including Sydney in 2019 and 2020.

Port being in finals contention for 12/12 years since Koch and Ken arrived is pretty good, and I have no doubt this is some of the data that Koch looks at and Jordan analyses.

Mate, thank you for coming.

We all know that Hinkley does not lose. The issue here is that he does not win either.

Here, a couple of threads that show you how into the data we are:

Being satisfied with "not losing" is something alien to the Port Adelaide Football Club. Yet, this mentality got ingrained in the club because it's enough for Koch. Hinkley just enjoyed the fruits of it.

"This game could be won in the coach’s box, and you’d give Scott the advantage in this one."

Kane Corner ladies and gentlemen. Ports list is deficient and Kerninley is the best coach in the league.

But also Chris Scott will probs pull his pants down on Thurs night because Kern is a dullard with no tricks to pull.
"“Jed McEntee will get him. He’s the one who first got him in 2023 and beat him well. I suspect he’ll go there again."

When it comes down to it, Port Adelaide are under the most pressure to win finals and at least get to a Grand Final.

The Hinkley love fest seems to have come to an abrupt halt and reality has once again set on the AFL media and with his job on the line, Hinkley is strongly under the pump.

Scott will be working his magic and I assume Bergman's opponent will not be targeted this game and he will go through Burton and Byrne-Jones to get to goal. They will also try to put huge pressure on the kicking of Zerk and sweat on any opportunity when he's kicking. Their forwards will try and hit the ground running hard. Obviously they will avoid Aliir at all costs when he's sweeping.

Scott will look to exploit McEntee and Francis Evans in the air and running off. At least Jed has a specific job to do which will help him out. If the Cats are smart, they will have Stewart roaming even more than usual. They will look to exploit Dixon and his man will try to burn off him at will. They will look to make sure Esava doesn't impact as well. They could run in waves from the back in a slingshot fashion.

If Marshall plays, he will be run off and based from pillar to post.

They will probably tag Butters in the midfield and then the Hornet when he goes in there.

We should win but we've said that before.

Agreed GP, koch's over the top reaction at the agm to the 13 minor round wins in a row after yet another failed final's series showed exactly where that clown's priorities are.

He continually tries to appease the lowest common denominator (the happy clappers) with his BS, and just doesn't get that minor round wins mean sfa if the team can't produce when it really matters and near enough is not good enough, and he never will!

The guy shouldn't be playing let alone assigned the role of Stewart. ****en bonkers mate.
Ken relies on luck

His mantra is if we try hard and hopefully we do better than the others we might win

He got lucky for half a game last time against Geelong, he's just dumb enough to roll the dice again and hope for double 6's cos last time they got beat

Time will tell

I guess today is the day Donuts will do his pre match press conference.

What pearls of wisdom is he going to provide this year heading into finals?

We could reach chapter 15 by the weekend if Port lose tomorrow night.

Stewart still had 18 touches, six intercepts and five score involvements in Round 9. Yep a tick below his averages but the idea that Jed completely blanketed him is a fallacy. There’s no way a gun like Stewart will allow himself to be limited by a plodder like McEntee a second time, he’ll absolutely get off the chain tomorrow night.
