"We need to treat that game as an aberration"

It’s not though, is it.

Id hazard a guess that every single poster on this forum knew within 3 mins we had lost the game because we’d seen it before. That’s not an aberration. The game against Geelong was an aberration. Something so rare that it took everyone by surprise, including Ken.

Well that’s me done for next year. I’ll keep the bare minimum seats I need, but won’t be attending until this fraud is gone along with his country bumpkin coach.

He did say we were soft....
How do you justify being soft in a game like that David if as you say “we’re all responsible for that performance”?

Koch now on 5AA.

Give up people. We're ****ed.
F*** me. An aberration?

The best possible preparation you could have leading into a home preliminary final and he calls getting absolutely flogged off the park an aberration?

We're done folks. The PAFC is now a safe haven for losers.

We had a remarkable year given our injuries but we were the side with the best preparation and injuries leading into the finals. We were definitely a rung below the dees, which would take a miracle to beat on GF day but we will simply never know now.

Losing to the dogs was bullshit. They had a great player out, a major question mark over their captain, 6 weeks of travel and covid restrictions. We'd beaten them despite giving up a 4-5 goal lead......................we should have smashed them on the weekend.

Instead we have to look at where our improvement will come from and who is a liability. We know we have an issue in the coaching department but we also have to look at our piss weak lazy elements in our squad AND the ageing players. 4 or 5 over 30 have to go, unless we have no draft or trading replacements available.

So yes the game was a wasted opportunity but it is now up to Koch to make tough calls on the operations and the operations team on the players.

If he said different, the playing group would start crying. Anyone remember when we got smashed by GWS a few years back?

Posted this in the autopsy thread, but worth reiterating here:

So I've done the numbers on this. Only using H/A games and using ladder positions at the end of each H/A season, here is the ladder of win % against top 4 teams since the start of 2017 (teams have played 24 +/- 3 games against top 4 sides in this time)

1GWS31.4
2Geelong31.3
3Richmond30.0
4Sydney29.4
5WCE27.6
6Crows25.0
7Hawks22.6
8Lions22.2
9Melbourne20.7
10WBD20.6
11Pies17.9
12NM17.9
13Saints16.7
14Freo13.8
15Port12.0
16Carlton11.1
17Essendon10.7
18GCS4.3

For Port, that's 3 wins from 22 matchups.

I knew within minutes. I just stupidly hoped we'd find something and dig our way out of the shit given the importance of the game.

What we saw live at the ground on Saturday night was devastating for my family.
:( devastating for all of us tragics but hey the follow up presser from a surly gruff irritated and clueless coach was the ultimate topping

on the sh*t sandwich we'd been served up. Mind you the coin our Kenneth is on and has been for years and years is proof that when it comes to

sh*t sandwiches the more bread you've got the less sh*t you have to swallow.

I won't be holding my breath waiting for Ken to explain the result or himself and his coaching on the night.
