He makes that star studded midfield work, they sacrifice for each other and for the better of the team, and he has the Dogs ready to run through brick walls and nothing is impossible to them. He has them motivated to take on the world so to speak. They went up to Brisbane, got a massive win there, then came here without their best defender, backs against the wall and absolutely smashed us. If that's a man that can't coach, I'd hate to hear your opinion on Hinkley or the other coaches in the comp minus Goodwin.

He's a damn good coach, as much as you don't want to admit it but he is. I can't stand the bloke either but he's a great coach and you just have to swallow that fact and face it.

The Brisbane game was yet another example of him benefiting from cheating. As good as the Dogs were on Saturday, they should have never been there in the first place. Brisbane were the better team in the semis.

The ten free kick differential aside, it was 78-78 with less than a minute on the clock and the umps immediately plucked out a ruck infringement to the Dogs which happens 20 times a game from which they ran it up the field and scored the winning point. If that free kick wasn't paid, there's every chance we're looking at an entirely different finals series.

Umpiring literally set up the winning score. You can argue about whether the decision was correct or incorrect if you like, but to claim 'umpiring had very little influence' is objectively wrong.

Hes not on a $million a year. 4 x premiership coach Clarkson was on $900k. His new contract was negotiated in a COVID year. There is no way he's on more than $700k.

Ken Hinkley is literally two straight kicks away from having made two Grand Finals and 99% of this board (rightly) wants him sacked. If we'd brought the umpires to the 2014 and 2020 finals series that the Dogs brought to the 2016 and 2021 finals series (Saturday night excluded, they didn't need the maggots to beat us but they did need them to beat Brisbane), he'd have made those Grand Finals.
