Roast Sack Koch - Chairman of The Redeem Team

I need to know what data this is. Did he look at Adam Kingsley last year and go "well Ken's won 131 games and that's 131 more than Kinglsey so there's no way he's better than Ken"? Cause what other data is there? Potential is an intangible, whereas Ken's consistent failure is extremely tangible.

This sums it up really. Hardwick was available this year but the data says Ken is better because he's got a superior win/loss record. Absolutely no regard given to 3 premierships v 0 premierships, just win/loss records. We aim for mediocrity and that is exactly what we get.

Not sure this is true. Choco didn't capitalise as much as we would have liked, that's for sure, but his record is nothing like Hinkley's.

Choco's coaching record is actually far more representative of an average coach.

He started in 1999 as his first season, making finals but not being a threat at all. In 2000 we took a step backwards, before improving to a top 4 finish in 2001, improving again in 2002 and 2003 when we won a final, then improved again in 2004, culminating in a flag.

So he won a flag in his sixth season at the club, after a period of gradual improvement. He then backed this up with making a second grand final in his 9th season. This is the sort of record you would expect from any coach given 10 seasons at a club - two GF appearances and one flag.

Compare that to Hinkley, who has shown no improvement over a period of 11 years. His best season to date is still his second one, and we have tread water in mediocrity ever since.

To compare their 6th seasons, Hinkley's sixth season was 2018, where we didn't even make finals. He backed this up in his 7th season with not only not making finals, but failing to meet the most basic responsibility of picking a captain, then burned another four seasons on top of that (and soon to burn another two).

Of course, Choco is better by any measure. Still, again, if we had gotten rid of him after 2006, it wouldn’t have been anything crazy. He actually deserved it.

Mate, if he were fired after 2003, it wouldn’t have been crazy! We fired Cahill after two seasons. We were way more condescending with Choco — who kept his job after the 119 (that came after a 12th place, that came after being swept by the Crows including a Final).

That’s my point.

Now, we are giving Hinkley the treatment we gave to Choco. Yet, Hinkley deserves it much less than Choco did.

The boys love Kenny and Kenny loves the boys what a pathetic mantra.
This club has destroyed itself on the back of this garbage. In an environment like this no hard decisions are made, every body back slapping while at the sametime everyone's careers are being destroyed. What a philosophy.
I'm quite certain that certain Hawthorn players weren't best buddies with Alastair Clarkson, but 4 flags were his rich reward. I'd be more than happy with a coach who's despised by everyone at Alberton, if he takes us to the promised land!!!!!!

I'm not going to watch that video because mark aiston is a snivelling campaigner, but why the * is he sitting in his car?
I assume that is where he lives

It's laughable that they're even in the conversation when there's enough damning evidence in front of us right now. During Koch and Hinkley's reign we've witnessed Melbourne rise from below us to win a premiership, and we've seen Richmond go from league punchline and meme to premiership dynasty. Yes, that Richmond. The one Hinkley's Port obliterated in a final in 2014. Both of those clubs had no right to win a premiership before Port.
And Carlton or Brisbane will become yet another opposition team to reach a grand final since 2007. Maybe we're going for the complete set - geez if we're waiting for North Melbourne to win one, none of us will be alive to see Port make a grand final.

Wow, in 2002 Port were in their 6th year in the AFL FFS, Choco was in his 4th year as an AFL coach, how is this even a comparison to an 11 year failed car salesman, that has burnt 3 lists.

I know Choco had his faults but he loved Port Adelaide.

Ken Hinkley should not even be mentioned in the same sentence as our Premiership coach in Mark Williams.

David Koch you disgust me and talk utter nonsense.

Carlton or Brisbane about to be removed from the list.

Choco’s side was ‘straight setted’ in his THIRD year as ******* coach.

Ken did this in his 11th year, with a very established list of players.

Choco had enormous pressure on him - Ken has white noise and is protected by the board and president.
People also forget this for some reason:

It blows me away that they went through the supposed shame and embarrassment of the 2021 prelim smashing, missed finals in 2022 and then the internal expectation this year (as dictated by the coach) was to make another preliminary final.

Not to win one, but just to make it there. And they'd call that a success and there would be back slapping all 'round.

...AND THEN STILL NOT MEET THAT EXPECTATION!!!

Capturing his thoughts is a matter of urgency.
His followers demand instant access to his mind dumps.

...or something.

Mark Aiston - the hero we didn't think we needed

lol at the boomer-doing-their-first-selfie-video vibes.

Does he want us to count his nasal hairs?

The record against Top-4 clubs is even more absurd. We suck at it.

GWS is the opposite.
