Shaping to an outside runner similar to Gaff at the Eagles, good speed, great ball use and great at finding space. Can snag a goal too.

Had a good year in the VFL coming off glandular, i suspect he will play nab cup then play 3-4 VFL games before getting a senior gig and playing 6-10 games for the year then become a regular member in 2015.

Lots to like about him

Does anyone know what happened to Nick Riddle? Tom Sundberg, for that matter! I presume both have been injured for a while. We get nowhere near enough information about what's going on with our VFL side. I'd actually like to see it have a website of it's own from next year onwards. Wishful thinking I know, but....

Both apparently injured.

I think Sundberg has an ankle injury. Beats me what's happened to Riddle...

Thanks for that. Given that Riddle is (co)captain of our VFL side it would be nice to know! With the resources this club has at its disposal, things should be done so much better.

How long would it take to get there on the Tram from Southern Cross?

Should be less than 10 minutes on the tram, then a 2 minute walk from the North Port stop to the ground.

Best place to jump on (in Collins Street) is in front of the Krispy Kreme store. Failing that (if you're still lost) head for Crown Casino and jump on the tram from there.

He was flying in 2011, had a good year. 2012 - the year he did his knee was inconvenient. Shame about that knee injury. Spent most of 2012 out which was a shame for Collingwood. Made a comeback for the finals series though. Was ok but lack of games meant it was always catch up and it took it's toll. As I said, just a shame about him getting that knee injury in 2012.

Enjoy your posts. Hope to have you contributing on The Collingwood Blog (Tiggers n' other critters always welcome).

Fine and 23 is the forecast for today.

Will we get 8,000 to 9,000 there?

Hope you all show up... but of course the Borough win ;)

I'll be more realistic and say 4-5,000 but would love it if the ground was packed like the old VFL/VFA days at the suburban grounds.

No excuses not to be there today, perfect weather, relatively easy to get to and for $15 a head it's not going to kill anyone's budget.

Pies will win by 16, but we'll make it look hard at times.:)

A real test for Mooney......finals pressure is something he has never experienced. Hope he plays well.
A few playing for their careers today?

Yagz.:p

I'm off to the game soon, perfect weather, good ground, close to the city hopefully there's a big crowd there supporting the boys. I'll be the one hiding under a rock when Dave let's loose.:p

Heard the Yarra Council are real Pricks about Vic Park:mad:

I think I have to clarify some of this. Collingwood walked away from Vic Park, let their lease go, and had nothing to do with the ground for several years after 2004. It returned to the full management of the City of Yarra. It was also heritage listed at this time, with Heritage Victoria becoming the approval authority for works and changes to the place. It was left in very poor condition by, I have to say it, Collingwood. Anyway, a few years go by, with Yarra spending some money on it, but not much as it was being under used.

Then, about 5 or so years ago, the club wanted back in and began negotiations with Yarra to return to Vic Park for reserves games. The Council, to their credit, also began seeking funds to spend on what was then a very decrepit place. A few million $ were provided by the Fed Govt, Yarra contributed some of their own $, and works got underway. When you visit today, all the landscaping works, the fixing up of the stands, the public art and the historic interpretation were paid for with these $. Collingwood, through one of their philanthropic arms, paid for the restoration of the old Social Club/Bobby Rose Stand.

The fence was removed after a protracted negotiation with Heritage Victoria, because Yarra and the local residents wanted the ground opened up. The approval for the fence removal was sought before the Pies decided they wanted to return for VFL use, hence causing the problem of not being able to charge entrance fees.

I think all concerned have done a fantastic job with the place, but to be fair, give some credit to the Council for what they have achieved.

Rant over.

Does anyone have any insight into why Krak is not playing and the severity of Elliott's hammy (strain slight tear etc)?

Good luck boys:thumbsu:
