Waters

Wow. His disposal out of defense has been terrible.

Rushing kicks, trying to kick beyond his means and picking the wrong option.

Sure he is getting a lot of the ball and taking a couple of good marks, but his turnovers are costing goals.

Agree he had provided a couple of shaky moments but done alot more good today than bad

He is keeping us in the game. Probably saved 3 or 4 goals. Kicks have been wobblers sure, but he is mopping up for loose checking midfielders.

He is horrible bringing the ball out of defense. Watch this half. He has been very very wasteful.

Really? OP is right, has cost us about 3-4 goals today through turnovers from his disposal

Worst thread I've ever read, he's kept us in the game. Can't say the same for Cox, Emac, Embley or our forwards.

Thought he has actually been one of our better players, along with kerr and nic nat at times... Not too many other players can say they put effort into this game...

Yet he's probably been our best player, not the player a roast thread should be directed at.. i could think of 21 players more worthy.

Although our kids have been OK at times.

aka the vent thread. If you're disappointed and angry, let it out in here Eagles supporters. Other supporters, don't come in and troll while the grieving takes place otherwise you won't be able to discuss the GF next week.

Senior players performances in this game, will it affect their playing time next year? ie Embley and Nicoski have only been given 1 year contracts, does today's game mean they'll be given first crack or we'll give someone else like a Weedon or Stevens or Smith first crack?

Disappointed but we have done well considering last year.

The players today looked like they didnt care at all and were happy just to make it to the second last week. Geelong are a class outfit too so its not like we lost to someone undeserving. Looking forward to next year.

Not much to vent about this year. After their respective seasons, Nico and Embers deserve the extra year. Embley so far in this final has had his poorest game for the season though, worst timing.

His trade value is much higher now than this time last year. Time to bite the bullet and trade this hog. How many goal assists does he have? How many kicks are turn overs when the pressures on? Not good enough and won't win a grand final with him in the team.

Bit of a strange one. In one hand he has been fantastic in defense. On the other, his disposal out of defense has been woeful. Plenty of others out there you could point the finger at though.

A couple of injuries, a slightly harder draw and we are scraping into the 8 next year with another year gone for Embley, Cox, Glass and Kerr.

We were not good enough this year for Collingwood or Geelong, and its not a given that we will improve next year to the point where we can beat the top 2.
