Does that article not show that Collingwood are a good pressure team? Equal top H&A average of the top 8 sides and 2nd best of the weekend?
In all seriousness sure, maybe it's more the narrative that there's is way better than ours, when it isn't

probably a dumb question but will be wearing our away white which could be confusing with the white of Pies, or will they prefer us to wear purple for the contrast? I will be watching from a sports bar in the States and would prefer to be able to explain to my friends to go for the purple team, rather than the other white team. The games hard enough for them to follow as it is.

That second one was right in front of me, and had me out of my seat and booing like nobody's business. Is it not in the back if it's two players rather than one jumping on top? From memory it was one of a run of three non-calls for us / soft calls for the Bulldogs in a space of 10-15 seconds, and I was starting to feel pretty demoralised.

That one up the other end where Dunkley snapped the goal was a throw too, completely blindsided though. He just handed the ball up to him one handed.

It's not materially higher than ours both over the season and in the finals round 1.

What might have made look elite is that it was much higher than Geelong's on the day.

You guys need to be more confident in our team.

Also Collingwood gotta be due for a bad one now, so assuming no rain, we're gonna smash 'em.

We're a bloody good team.

I dont think the difference between the pressure's doesnt impact us too much, it's the pressure the opposition brings. Saturday will be tough and a win for the ages to pull it off

No what I mean is Collingwoods pressure looked hot because Geelongs was a significantly lower. I.E. High relative not absolute pressure. Collingwoods pressure in absolute terms was good but not, say, Freo 2013 prelim first half level. The Dogs actually generated more first half pressure points in our game than the Pies did in theirs.
The concern is the Pies seem better able to sustain their pressure. Western Bulldogs were cooked by early in the 4th trying to keep up pressure through the turnaround in the game.

I’m getting Driz to Sub and Tabs in vibes from JLos presser…

I’d be happy with no changes, tho I think Tabs would improve us up front and give them some headaches. Don’t think you can drop logue as he’s cover for everything.

Having a healthy list has been awesome, but gives some headaches :p

This also makes him well suited to the medi sub role.

If it was up to me, and assuming Tabs is fit enough for the occasion, I’d look to capitalise on our expected clearance superiority by increasing forward power through:

Tabs in
Logue to medi sub
Banners out

If Tabs isn’t fit enough, we’re unchanged.

If they drop Driz who is the 3rd winger? Somebody has to play at least 20% of the game on the wing (in reality much higher) while one or other of the first two wingers is resting. Colyer and Henry aren't in the side. I can't see them suddenly deciding in a final that this is good time to play Clark or Mundy on the wing for the first time in the season. It would also reduce our flexibility in that Aish would no longer be available to tag or otherwise run on ball without pushing someone else into a role they haven't trained for this year.

Wet or dry, we should have a better game plan this time against Collingwood.

We were the first win in that 11 in a row streak that Collingwood had in the home and away. It was the first game we'd played in the wet and we overused handball.

Up to that game they were 4W 5L and they got a couple of important players back against us after their worst loss of the season to the Western Bulldogs (-48pts) so we probably didn't have a good body of their good games to review how they were travelling under their new coach and what their best football was like.

I hear the commentators sometimes refer to their style of attacking play from defence as "slingshot", high risk, high reward and we're a good team going back inside 50m from turnover - so I think we're in with a good shot this weekend.

Even missed when Switta (?) got his head taken off in the forward pocket.

There were also at least two occasions where we should have been given 50 for the Bulldogs player not giving the ball back. Look at our first goal which Sonny kicked without needing the 50. How that is not 50, I have no idea. The Bulldogs players stopped to argue with the umpire instead of giving the ball back.

Think this really puts into perspective how hard this'll be

If we can somehow, and I really think it's a somehow at the moment, beat the Pies who are on fire while at the MCG filled 90% by Pies fans, then we really can do anything. I'm very excited by the possibility of winning this because it could very well be the final domino before winning a grand final

Not trying to get ahead of myself, but this is a very exciting weekend
