Glen Waverly Hawks are a completely different side this year. They are paying players big money and have picked up heaps of very good players. I know at least 4 guys who played seniors at roville including their chf who is a gun is down their this year for the money.

Gotta agree with you fev, GWH did not look like a side that has 1 game in 2 years. Plenty of talls.
The districts had maybe 1 guy around 6'3" and the backline was 6 collingwood 6 footers.

Didn't make it to Doveton until the end of the last quarter so didn't get to see the game. Who were the better players blac? Did Asian Jack or Big Gus go around? I heard Pete Dye has moved on.

peter dye has returned to doveton, gus had a leg injury i think, and we are still trying to find big jack. best players were spread around, gorman was a new man, kicked 7 or 8 and gave off 2 or 3 as well(theres a 1st for everything). some of the young kids showed they will be good contributors. still a few to come back so the side probably won't settle down until round 4 or 5, just in time for you blokes!!
i must say, had a bloke walk up to me at the qtr time huddle for seniors doing a really good impersonation of big rich, this bloke looked like an elite athlete!! obviously turned up to those sessions at the tan hey!!

It's not Big Rich anymore, it's just Rich. Saw all the Dandy boys there, they must have wandered over after the intra-club. Why were Cerberus so poor? All rugby players again? Hamo said that 12 players or so had got to the base 2 and a half weeks ago, but think he was talking about the ones.

they usually have 1 or 2 standouts, not the case yesterday. i think a few may have been playing there 1st ever game. they'll have their off weeks, hopefully for them, this was 1 of them!

I only saw the last couple of minutes, but I think the score was Doveton 153, Cerberus 3. Fair pasting, the Navy Reserves generally cop these regularly pretty early in the season though.

Only got to the Doveton game about two minutes from the end last week. didn't seem them, but on last year's form I'd pick them over Canterbury. Both sides apparently have some big names in the ones, and this should filter down. Otherwise I agree with you Jim Stynes, excepting of course your game. 4 points in it last time, should hopefully be a cracker. See ya there.

David Paten coaching the twos over at Skye? Is he that guy with brown hair, about average height that plays in the middle (if I remember number 54 correctly)? Think I've played on him. Didn't seem particularly loud though, how's he going down there? How old is that guy, seemed young to me.

Also, I noticed lonewolf got the number 8 at Mount and some other bloke got the 8* (Reserves Only). Does this mean you'll be playing up a lot this year lonewolf? Good news for everyone else in the twos if you are.
