I am really excited for this game. I have given up my seats in the Hickey stand and signed up to the Social Club. I can't wait to see what the setup looks like. It sounds really good. Does anyone know what the dress code is for the Social Club? Can I just wear my Cats polo t-shirt or Cats Guernsey and jeans or is it more dressy than that? It says no shorts or thongs so I presume it's okay?

As it's an upgraded area you'll have those in suit and tie to those in smart/not ripped jeans and a collared shirt. Jacket and tie optional, smart dress shoes.....Polos fine. And after speaking to the club you can take your guernsey and throw it on at the start of the game when taking your seats.
Short answer......'its smarter than that'.
And yes......facilities are fantastic.
Also on a side note SC guest passes gone for Dogs game but some remain for Power and Crows games.
Also the more formal meal for the Social Club is booked out for Friday's game.

Hey animalrocks, thanks heaps for that detailed reply. Much appreciated. I think with the weather shaping up as it is, I'll be watching the game from inside behind the glass! Can't wait for it.

It's funny that it was the 1988 match that has the bigger crowd. The last round of 1991 felt a LOT more crowded being at the game, but the attendance is listed as just over 28,000. The only game I can remember at Geelong where I literally could not move.

Id have sworn that in the early 80's there were some games around that mark or higher then I look it up and it looks like the numbers are less. Like that North game where the rain cam down and North failed to score after 1/2 time. Maybe our memories are fuzzy..I certainly look back at some games from that era with todays eyes and wonder how people rave about the standard , again I think its fuzzy memories because it looks slow and the dumb football to me.

As it's first come first basis for seats if you get there early enough you can get seats just outside the Social Club room and they're undercover......and close to the bar!

They still do guest passes eh? At what cost?

That sounds good. But worst case, I am actually happy to stand inside and watch it. If i stand, is that still close to the bar? That's very important!!

$75 for non members and I think $50 for members. If your interested let me know nakia
Maybe for the Port game. I'll speak to you on Saturday. :thumbsu:

Can I take a bottle shop brown paper bag in too?
Too conspicuous, and you will be pulled up as soon as it's seen.

I'd suggest it's better to purchase a massive watermelon and inject it with Vodka. You are more likely to get away with that.

Who doesn't trust someone carrying around a giant watermelon?
