not sure if this is the right place or not.

what are the chances of five melb members upgrading to seats allotted together?
very, very low now... Go on the link below and enter the 5 membership barcodes... select best avaliable and it will tell you if there's any left.

The last resort is to pay $160 bucks a head to sit in the Ablett terrace:

Thanks. It really seems like great value.
It depends on what you're after. A guaranteed GF seat (but you can buy that add-on to a normal membership anyway) and the flexibility to buy guest passes is the good thing. I used to be an SC member but in the end I just couldn't handle needing to get there early to get a seat.

Yeah I love the guest passes. The KP games in particular seem like good value to me. Could actually bring the kids or mates who don't like standing if I wanted and get there early. Wouldn't work out any dearer than buying reserved seats.
Getting there early could seem like a hassle but it depends how early I guess.
Would sort of seem like going to the pub before the game.
Also with the dickhead thing before. I didn't mean punching on or anything. Was thinking more like standing in the bottom level of the Southern Stand. If that type of behaviour would be tolerated.

Also sorry I got more questions if someone could answer them. If I get the SC membership for 750$ does that include both KP and MCG home games eg sitting in SC at KP and level 2 bar at MCG for a Cats home game vs Hawks, Pies etc
Also anyone who goes on Friday it would be great to know what the min dress code is, smoking?, how drunk you can get or much of a dickhead you can be before you get kicked out etc.
No smoking anywhere in the stadium.

Smart casual is the dress code, so dress (not holed) jeans, chinos etc. As for a minimum for tops polo shirt would be the minimum

Oh, and good to see their beer and wine list is complete shit.
I mean for Christ sakes. Put decent shit on it. If people don't want to buy higher end they will buy something else.

If you get in an hour or so before the game you should get a GA seat no problems. The back half of Bays A43 to A53 are GA seating, and if you've got a membership that lets you scan in you can get them at no extra cost.

A final look at the almost finished product...
Cats Shop almost ready to go
Some landscaping near the cricket oval that might not be ready in time
The Legends Plaza (which will be a pre-game entertainment area on Friday)
Ticket counters and scanning gates

Testing the PA late this afternoon
Lots of hositality staff around tonight
Lots of suits around tonight
Not many fluoro jackets around tonight

I went for a quick walk around on Tuesday night. WOW is all I'll say! I didn't grab any photo's as I was in a rush. Apart from the lawn section in between the new stand and the umpires room it looks like it'll all be completed.

The only things that hadn't been touched were the temporary site huts outside the Premiership Stand and the temporary home change rooms behind the Players Stand. There was also quite a large amount of equipment stored on the ground level concourse between the staircase and player gymnasium at the rear of the Premiership Stand.

Does anyone know if the temporary home change rooms will become permanent and ground level access therefore lost between the Players & Premiership Stands?

I can't answer specifically about the temporary rooms, but this floor plan (I think I may have posted this picture a couple of months ago) seems to suggest that the original ground level walkthrough in the premiership stand does not exist anymore... It looks to be taken up by the MASSIVE gym.

I like the idea of local wines but that selection is poor and maybe they could have teamed up with Little Creatures for a "local" beer presence.

I remember seeing that plan. Thanks for the refresh.

From that, there will be no more ground level access as there was previously between the Premiership & Players Stands.

I wonder if the "temporary change rooms" have become the new "women's change rooms"?

Ah. Sorry a few Melbournites seem to think that it's a Victorian thing.
Been to the brewery in Freo. 'Tis a beautiful thing. Geelong is lucky to have the Victorian presence.
