Simpson has a track record of being like a 18 year old with a hard on. He just cannot help himself.


Similar as Yeo with Shuey in the Freo game. Boy did he look good for 1 quarter.

Despite nearly 2 decades saying do not ruck the talls too young, he throws Allen in the ruck. He is a talent who just wants to play.

With the lack of checks and balances at our club, there is nobody of substance standing up to Adam and questioning his calls. I cannot see Gavin Bell holding sway!!

I reckon it’s an inability to say no to the players as much as anything.

Blind Freddy can see Shuey should be getting preserved on a flank. And they’ve tried it a little. But he can’t stop himself from going into the middle and going a million miles an hour and they let him. And surprise surprise he breaks down halfway through a game.

Ditto with Yeo when we were getting thrashed by Geelong, I suspect.

And Darling breaks his arm and wants to go back out onto the field and no one stops him and says “no, this game is lost and you could well make it worse, sit this one out”.

Lets face it, these guys are at a stage where they cant play more than a month of footy without getting injured.

Pretty hard to delist Yeo though. He is turning 30 but he is less durable than Hurn.

Can't speak to his mindset but if he keeps breaking down this year he might pull the pin himself. At his best he really impacts on our style of play and he's a valuable asset but he isn't available enough.

I'm not sure who it was posting some time ago on Yeo but they described players developing OP, with the current understanding of the mechanisms of the condition as essentially negligence by our medical staff.

Given the complete inability to rehabilitate the injury it's clear that there is no possible room for improvement in the medical or S&C department.

Given the complete inability to rehabilitate the injury it's clear that there is no possible room for improvement in the medical or S&C department.

I thought it was interesting that Kofoed rushed through Kennedy's small fracture of his leg to get him up for finals in Episode 9 of friends family and flags. Wonder what impact that had on his knee giving up a few years later. But yes Yeo doesn't look like they managed his OP well enough to keep him fit generally given his consistent soft tissue injuries.

Appointed in January, when we just about had a full list, so not like we were exactly looking to boost our high-performance team at the time. Especially after we'd just appointed a highly touted S&C coach.

If Footy Classified can be trusted then there is significant interest from other clubs in Yeo.

Where they are, would he move, what is a fair price are legitimate questions. But I think we’ve proven our inability to get him right and on the park, so giving him and another team the chance for 2-3 years at the end of his career may be win/win.

Would hate to see him in other colours (same for all of our decent players), but if he can’t even get on the field for us then a draft pick has more value.
