Injury SJOGHCIU - Offseason Edition

Putting football aside, it’s fantastic to hear that Waterman is on the way to recovering from what sounded like a serious illness that may have required surgery if it didn’t improve

From a football perspective there’s no need to rush him back - we aren’t chasing finals and we’ve seen enough to make a decision on whether he should (or shouldn’t) get a new contract

That decision can be made once the season is over - I expect he’ll get a new deal barring unforeseen health complications

Darling looks like a lucky test as is Gov. Cole looks like he is back early.

Wonder what the difference between “indefinite” and “TBC” is?

Feels like Winder is on the cusp of availability from nowhere. But then I haven't really been paying that much attention

Not sure the club has been either tbh

This makes it clearer to me putting a line through the long term injuries & TBCs.

Available in the next week or so: McGovern, Darling, Cole, Foley, Trew, Winder
Available in the following week: SPS, Jamieson, Clark
Available next month: Yeo
Available late-2017: Rest

Naitanui, Ryan and Jones among those that the club insisted would be back before the end of the season so couldn’t be put on the inactive list to open up another mid season draft spot.

I’ll bet they’re not the only ones that end up not getting back either.

Yeah wouldn't surprise me if Yeo joins them too.
Next week his timeline wouldn't have moved, then reduced to TBC, then indefinite, then finally season.

7-8 out for the season.

Could mean the WAFL team has 13-14 players late in the season. Would love them to squeeze out a win at some point.

Cole and Foley back through the WAFL this week if fit.

Yeo isn't up and moving around yet. He said the timeline is about right if his hip calms down and he can get some movement in soon. If it takes longer to settle down then it'll be a sliding scale from there (if it takes him an extra week to get moving, it'll be another week until his return).

Shit we need them back for the 2018 premiership.

Cole a chance to play WAFL minutes this week.

Based on the injury report we could have 30 players available this weekend which would give us 6 of n the WAFL side

Baker
Dewar
Barnett
Cole (on managed minutes)
O’Neill
Luke Edwards or Foley (One of these to be the traveller to Brisbane)

it's only Wednesday morning - still plenty of time for some "unexpected" outs...
