I think we'll be able to match any deal the Crows make, especially if they are going strong for Jacobs and Tambling still...any chance of us landing Jacobs? Really think he's going to be a gun and would love to grab him

Carlton fans definately overrating Walker. He is injury prone and has been in and out of this side this season.

Motlop>Geelong
Gamble> Carlton
Walker> Port

Best suggest trade EVER by a bigfooty poster. Well done to you.

Everyone get's a recycled players that could be used and would be servicable.:thumbsu:

There would probably need to be some picks thrown in there.

What I would like to know is what role would we even use Walker in? Very iffy about obtaining his services.

Doubt it Abers.

Would need to be walker and your first rounder. But considering how high your first rounder is this year, and the depth of this years draft due to GC signings, I doubt it would be enough even for Carlile.

EDIT: Thats may be way overrating Carlile actually. hmm.

best fullbacks in the league- lake (28ish?) scarlet (30ish?),

then, frawley (22ish) and carlile (23). >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

>>>>>>>>>>> daylight>>>>>>>>>> everyone else

carlile is worth his weight in gold. how often do you find a rarely beaten proper fullback this young?? even lake took a long time to get that good. fullbacks like that rarely move clubs. him, trengove and chappy will be on our untouchable list until they ask otherwise. and than we will have many many suiters.

i rate tambling way above walker. would rather him if we were talking. still wouldnt give up pick 16 for tambling though. no to walker. not what we need, i doubt it will happen since rohde just said footskills are our priority...

The Tambling deal is as good as done, he is coming to Adelaide. Should be confirmed early tomorrow.

Port pulled out of the Jacobs running a while ago.

And by early tomorrow he'll be an elite youngster brimming with untapped potential instead of the roasted spud with extra pineapple that cost Terry Wallace and Greg Miller their reputations and careers.

So we are up to our eyeballs in the Walker trade so if we get him what do we give up for him and who comes out of our 22 for him ?

Matt Rendell come on down.

The Cows are guaranteed a flag in 2011 now. Their best ever list just got better.

My God..Walker, this just gets more stupid by the day.
You would think after the run we have had with injured players (no names needed to be mentioned) the club would be looking at only drafting someone with a clean bill of health.
I pray he goes to the Crows or anywhere but us.

A HBF with trick shoulders? Grrreaaaat. Doesn't sound like our type of player at all...

Really have to feel sorry for Tambling, it's not his fault Richmond picked him ahead of Franklin. The fallout for Wallace and Miller though was spectacular.

That was one spud draft for a lot of teams. A quick glance and I reckon there'd be less than 20 players left on an AFL list from the 70 odd that were drafted.

Should see some of the comments on the Crows board.

lulz.

Imagine if we reacted the same when we got Nash, or Schulz or Harding.

Good luck to him though, reckon they paid a bit too much...

I reckon they may have too. But remember that he was a very high draft pick, is still only 23 (24 next year), and the compo pick is something like pick 26

Agent Hardwick just earned his Christmas Bonus. ;)

Buddy or not, remember Tambling was hailed as the next coming - ironically as it happens - of McLeod.

Hawthorn was all over him, from memory they got him down to Melbourne during the wooing process and he stayed at Buckenara's house - although I've read that this was all an elaborate ploy by Hawthorn to sneako both Roughead and Franklin out from under Richmond who were strongly tipped to be after at least one of the pair after pledging to take Deledio with their #1. Not sure how true this is.

Nonetheless, it was a huge shock when 'Bling slid as far as #4 and Wallace/Miller simply could not pass him up such was his rating.

Don't want Walker, but if its straight for Motlop, meh.

If we give up any picks or decent players, I will be very unhappy.

Walker would be a welcome addition to our side.

I would have him as a tagger ahead of Logan / Thomas because he has excellent leg speed. Cassisi, K.Cornes, Logan, Thomas are all negative type midfielders and struggle for pace.

Walker could also do a job on small and tall forwards for us.

Tambling wouldnt be a good fit for us. We have done a great job at moving on players with a fragile mental state, we dont need to be brining more in.

If he ended up at Port, where do you reckon he fits in our 22? I must admit, I know very little about him other than he was a high draft pick and has been injured forever.

I'd like to see him as a wingman pretty much. Has excellent speed and line breaking ability.

He played CHB on occasions at Carlton....way harsh.
