Why are we resting him at all unless he is very sore? We are very unlikely to make the finals so if he is stuffed after round 23 he can have 6 months off.

He's been carrying a sore calf since the start of the season. If we're very unlikely to make finals we keep pushing him and don't rest him? I'm notseeing the logic here.

Because he is paid to play footy and that is what he does for us and does well. Didn't he get BOG last week? Doesn't seem that his body needs a rest. If his form tappers off because of injury then you may rest him.

I worry our back line is still too old, we need to start transitioning a few younger guys in for the good of the team over the next few years. I know Lonie played the best game of the 3 last weekend but all our forwards played pretty well and it's a fairly young forward line. I'd like to see one of Murdoch or Goddard come in for some game time.
