They did both give a fair bit of credit to our mids + kids. I'm glad Gerard thinks that Mills is going to win the R/S...criminally underrated in the Vic media. Playing the hardest role of any of the potential winners.

He won't win. That is purely because of the role he is playing. Not flashy enough or 'important enough'.

Watson saying Tippett is our most important player , Carey saying he is worth every cent

The same Carey that said we should trade him at the end of last year?

Geez.... and I had this bloke just one rung above the ScottBros, hodge, Carey, McGuire etc on my "things I hate about the AFL" list. Good on you Jeremy.... very heartwarming :)
A great read and good comments. Young players, with talent and ego are sometimes hard to control and the way they carry themselves. Cameron maybe had an epiphany! After getting 4 weeks and how that effected himself and his club, looked back at his roots, club, parents and coaches and realised of consequences and with a young club.

Goodes was the link to history, leadership, integrity, dedication and focus and that he was able to meet the man, on that day, and felt humble and lucky and how bad he was to Mathieson, how he was angry about Goodes being booed and I can see that Cameron now is a better player but more importantly a better person.
Respect for Cameron just went up by x100, not that I didn't respect him in the first place though :thumbsu:

Jeremy Cameron talks about being at the SCG for Adam's farewell lap.

ABC Grandstand on Sat pondered why Swans kept creeping under everyone's radar again this year. Consensus: Swans don't do flashy, they just play Swans footy ie: tackling & contested ball.
Also, McClure had a near meltdown when it was put to him that it seemed Mitchell would be staying at Swans. Was too funny.

McClure in microcosm is what every player/coach faces when they enter that club. The old guard are absolute frothers. The moment you look like failing they pull the knives out of the togas.

McClure is entertaining to watch though. I don't mind him. I just wouldn't want to be employed by Carlton.

Pretty much. Do the 1%ers and let the flashy player do their stuff.

McClure does sound a bit like that.
'They have to be squeezed'
'Cant bust the salary..'
Just sounding a touch floggy.

Would've thought Weitering has the hardest role tbh

Seems some at fox are annoyed by the idea we are favourites
Glad it wasn't just me that thought that. Talk about praise through gritted teeth. When discussing the possibility of us being rated highly smelly Robbo, Dumbstool, Browny and try-hard stats flog all looked like they were trying to pass a shit the size of a football.

No Carlton person is in a position to question another club's ability to fit players under the salary cap surely
