Horse has his say on resting players against the Suns

Good. JPK was probably one you'd think a rest would be good for, so he'll get that, just unfortunately it was forced. Others have said Hickey, he'd probably be the only other I'd consider unless someone else is stuffed.

Promising that Mills is expected, Warner also (but no accompanying quote).

Heeney interview

Thanks Ticky
another good human.. when asked about best fish,, it was not the marlin (using gear worth thousands of $$, and trawled for hours using gallons of fuel), it was the mulloway, off the beach with a livey.. 120cm... thats awesome fishing

16AUG21: Swans Talk lazybits /Multiple
Swans talk starts at 15mins. Lots of nice Hickey talk and McInerney - and for gods sake - can Vic media stop talking about Battle of Bridge when we play GWS. Haven't used it in years.

ESPN:
Stocks up: Here's an interesting stat: Will Hayward's streak of games with a goal has now extended to 12. The dynamic goal scorer tallied another three majors; he's a handful as he can play tall and small, and he's a tough matchup for most defenders. And he's great to watch - a real character.

Stocks down: Hopefully it's nothing too serious for Josh Kennedy or Nick Blakey, who finished the game sore with hamstring and ankle issues respectively.

Love the hard work you put in Ticky

It's a great photograph, but ironically it's the two lone Richmond supporters who make it a clasic.

and the woman, crossed arms, resigned look on her face, above Reid's shoulder, made me smile.

If we are suffering severe salary cap trouble, we obviously have a number of players who are being paid more than they should.

You become a free agent after 8 years. A restricted free agent is one who is in the top 25% of your paid players. So, therefore, Hewitt is earning more than Parker. Surprising.

We have no way of knowing if his contract was severely backdated that tipped him into the 25% bucket this year.

17AUG21: Swans finals talk/AFL Exchange
AFL Exchange think Syd would least prefer to face Essendon than anyone else in the EF. Sounds like they've been captured by the suddenly-popular Swans-Bombers are always close' idea.

They've overlooked the Giants, who've beaten us in the only two finals we've played, including a 2-point win in round 5 when they were struggling to get
their season going.

Since 2016 our record against GWS is 6-7. Against Essendon we're 5-3. I'd probably slightly prefer the Dons.

I've dropped off that show now that I've given them a good listen. They clearly don't know teams outside of Vic very well and it shows in all their assessments.

We're better than both of them, don't care which one we have to play we should be favourites regardless.
