dismantles a premiership side.. if I could drop a gorilla on the whole players are done by 29 excuse buckley has used to rebuild a side because he wasn't getting the love I would.

He's basically destroyed this team.. to scapegoat his inability to coach.

I'm sick and tired of telling the bloody truth here.

Yeah it's not a great excuse for him to be trying; especially not in the week he drops Reid. Anyway, answer my question Gimpy.. you been in Mykonos again?
 
We're ordinary, but close to being a good side IMO; I still believe that.

Even today if senior players didn't make monumental f-ups in the last (Howe, Sidebottom), and we had some luck with Elliot and Fas hitting the post; we would have won.

The rebuild has not worked as we would have liked, but I'm not sure replacing the senior coach will fix all that ails us.

If it does come to that I hope we find the right man for the club.

buckley destroyed a"team"?!! I don't know where you Malthouse fantasy people are at, but Malthouse was FINISHED. Does anyone consider what he did to Carlton? His ability as a coach was OVER. Ruined Carlton, had no idea.
Malthouse ensured a terrible handover and damaged our success going forward. His petulance towards bucks was childish and pathetic. As bucks said, he shook his hand in agreement, if Malthouse didn't agree, bucks would've walked away.
I am more than happy to give Bucks one more year. Today's team was young and unsettled. Injuries to the Sack and Moore unfortunate, Moore looked great early on. Varcoe, wells, Reid, Sharenberg will be in our best team. Be patient. Be kind. Successful teams take time. Go Pies.

That's ancient history, who cares about that now. It seems as though your hatred for Malthouse is clouding your judgement.

All that counts now is if Buckley can coach or not, and the signs are not good. You have to be pretty blind not to be able to see that
 
I sense his time is coming to an end now with the way the season has transpired. He's tried his best and given everything to make things work, and for a long time many of us have backed him, but there a comes a moment when you realise that it hasn't worked.

We were hopeful of his coaching prospects going back as far as 2014/2015 but I think significant changes need to be made at the end of the season and that seasons 2016 and 2017 will be the reason for his eventual dismissal.

He's a fantastic person, great player, club legend and this will never be diminished in my eyes, but in the cold light of the day he has not produced the goods as senior coach and I think he's been give more than enough time to succeed with us.

I'm happy to give him the rest of the year to coach out the season and to exit in a dignified manner, but I would be very surprised if the club hasn't begun to look at alternatives and plan for 2018.

It's sad as I've always wanted Bucks to succeed and lead to us the ultimate prize, but a fairytale won't eventuate here :(

Actually CFC2010 Filo has a point here.
I do sometimes get confused as to where you stand on a topic. One minute it seems you are anti Bucks next minute you seem to be pro Bucks have you been sent to screw with our minds. Are you conducting some social mental research. Should we wear a tinfoil cap when we speak with you.
I think you have been outed.

These are variables that happen in a game of football.. a good coach knows how to respond to em. He has shown he cant cach with a full list and when we do have injuries.. that's where he has got no clue whatsoever.

And I am not buying the whole Its Malthouse's doing argument. It's obvious.. it took a few of em to tango.

He destroyed a successful side.. and we are at a stage now when we are no different to any other side with a good number of players with a decent amt of game time.

The truth of the matter is this.. we are equal points with Carlton after 14 games.. what a disgrace!!!!

How was Malthouse finished? He just coached one of the best afl seasons ever and 1 quarter of football seperated us and Geelong being 2/2 in premierships for the era.

Absolutely a joke to say he was finished it's just a laughable excuse to justify the fact we threw out a coach who got us to 2 grand finals in his final years to 6 seasons later a coach who has taken us backwards every year.
 
We will get a few of the usual suspects supporting bucks this week and some will try and use stats to back up their argument.

Stats that show we are more competitive than last year- Well drrr have you seen the results this year. All sides are more competative

Stats that show we dominate inside 50s- who cares when we can't score from them

Etc Etc Etc

One thing stats won't be as easy to explain or find is the flawed game plan that relies in manic pressure to win. The type of pressure that is not sustainable over 4 quarters let alone a whole season.

Aside from the Brisbane game where the opposition was horrible that game our 4 wins have come when we have applied that kind of pressure for atleast 3 out of 4 quarters and we still almost lost the Syndey and freo games by letting them in due to not being able to sustain the pressure for the entire game.

We cannot be competitive for an entire season if this is what we rely on to win.
