If Blake Caracella is the reason why the tigers are playing such direct football then I'm all for him to be coach next year.
Id include Blake in with Stuart and Brett in a top 3 and I now have Blake ahead of Brett

1, Stuart Dew
2, Blake Caracella
3, Brett Ratten

Be wrapt with any of those 3

Club should always make decisions based on its timing not the media timing nor cyber space antsy antsy timing

So basically he's all but signed on for another two years.

Flabbergasted. Truly.

The board simply must go, this review has been so incestuous its amazing.

Appears our failings are everyone else's fault, bar the head-coach.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with you here, if this becomes the muted outcome, then our club has become a gutless rabble, living in la la land. Got my membership renewal email for 2018 today...and for the first time in over 20 years I truly don't know what to do. I will wait for the outcome of decisions in the next fortnight.

Is anybody watching On The Couch and does anybody agree with their assessment that Brisbane and then Carlton (marginally) will win a premiership before the Pies based on skill-set list management and game plan

Didn't watch it. But both Carlton and Brisbane are already nearly with us this year. Both will leapfrog us next year if we don't change the coach in my opinion.

Recruit experience this year to try and get Bucks into the finals.

Next year get rid of everyone and surround Bucks with better voices so he can succeed.

As tasteless as this sounds I just envisage Bucks in the old Yooralla ad scenario.

Maybe get Horse or Al CLarkson starting it off with 'Bucks can't coach or strategise the way I do, but he keeps his job, Eddie showed him how to'

Saintly/Westozpie and Others.....

I think you guys will get your wish - a Buckley contract extension (with additional bells and whistles attached to sell it). As I said earlier, it will be Edward's finest work and I far one, can't wait.

Just one question - what drives you more regarding the likely extension?

(i) Having Buckley stay on as senior coach.
(ii) Taking great delight at all those supporters out there that will go absolutely nuts when he is extended.
To me nether. There is only one coach l could not stand in the end, weideman.
Great player though.
The comments have been over the top in some regard, but that's life.
If bucks goes so be it, if stays the same to me
If goes do not won't Lyon Roos or rattan, but don't mind Blake Caracalla for some reason. Smart footballer though
If bucks stays ( not sure) the melts will be pretty funny, a lot of kids throwing their toys out of the cot.

I think it's worth waiting to see what happens.

The board hasn't even met yet to hear what Walsh has to say.

Yeah, it looks like there are elements in the media who have been backgrounded that he's staying, but there are potentially all kinds of reasons for that (keep the players on board for the remaining games? Encourage players to sign? Dunno)

You may be right, he may end up being offered that two year extension AND he may choose to accept it. But I reckon it's worth holding fire until we know that is fact.

Collingwood has played the most finals by about 40 more than the next best.

Carlton would be next best just ahead of Essendon.

To my memory only us and our big enemy clubs (above) have played 100 + finals.

ps Hawthorn have not played even 90 finals, somewhere in the 80s, and they are not adding any this year :)
Nathan making sure we wont be adding any while he is coach

Correct. We wait with bated breath.

16 consecutive years a member has officially come to an end.
