I'm sure he did. I remember I really wanted to embrace change but just couldn't with that crap.

It was developed because the club thought they needed to change with the times and realign themselves with a younger generation.

having listened to the youtube one above for a mo I realised this was not the one I was talking about. I think around 2000 the club put out a jazzier version of our actual theme song with the stand up and fight verse added. That's what I was thinking of.

I didnt mind 'Cat Attack' and 'Come On the Cats', what I really hated was the death metal version of our current theme song they tried to foist upon us about 10 years back.

This was about the same time they made us listen to Bang Goes the Budgie songs at half time. They were one reason I wasn't unhappy to see Leigh Colbert leave the club.

I don't actually think it is really that bad. Not something i would consider as the Geelong theme song but more alone the lines of "Go Cats Go" and "Let the Game Begin" the 2 songs by Jingle House over the last 2 years. So really just nice to hear some different song about the Cats even if it is quite odd.

I always remember a different song being played when we ran out in the GF in 1992 and being in Perth I didn't hear otherwise as never went to a game KP that year. It's just an afterthought as I don't really go back and watch the 1992 Grand Final DVD (not that I own it).

Yes, as I wrote above 'Cat Attack' was played as we ran out in 1992.

Just wondering if that was our official club song for a while, and if so how for long, and if it was played both before and after all matches during that period?
