Tex leads the league in % of entries directed at him. A fair gap to 2nd. Fair to say it’s still his forward line and everyone else fights for what’s left over.
Tends to happen when the forward line repeatedly demonstrate uselessness when the ball isn't going in that direction.

That's not the point ....how many mtrs gained did Newcomb and Day get ....with Crouch strolling behind in the centre circle, as the two HAW players stormed towards F50

The measure of a mid today, is their ability to break clear of stoppage, use their legs .....just watch Oliver & Petracca .....Green, JHF and Butters .....they're using their legs, to try and come thru the fwd exit of stoppage .....puts oppo defences under enormous pressure ....not enough time for mids to get back and help

Crouch gives to other players, not in a more advantageous position ....normally laterally ...and allows opp mids enough time to get into DEF
Crouch's handball used to be lateral which was why he was dropped (not sure why Nicks doesn't give the same treatment to Laird given Crouch was also an AA and B&F player), they are now to advantage so he hasn't been dropped since regaining his spot late last year.

Was last year ....you certainly cannot say that now

I suggest you watch the replay closely .....he's back to lateral ball movement

If there was only a way we didn't have to select players that make basic skill errors......
Unfortunately the AFL makes us play 23...

And when other players do so they escape the same criticism
We're talking the engine room, where all the FWD plays and DEF transition pressure turnovers are generated from ....they're the link between DEF and FWD .....if you don't think that midfield deserves closer analysis ...then just keep adding laughing emoji's

I thought you were better than that

No midfield pressure = delivery to oppo fwds on a platter

Better than what? That I don’t see it the same as you

Season is well and truly over. Play the kids only with experienced players we want them to emulate and who can lead.

Not AFL ready? Don't care. Best way to get AFL ready is to play AFL.

We lose even more games? We're not making finals, so we either find talent in the young kids and have something to look forward to next year, or we get a better draft pick. Win win.

By all means give Strachan a crack but beating up on undersized SANFL journeyman rucks is a long way off AFL rucks...a country mile off.

The last time ROB played SANFL

37 disposals 42 hit outs, 13 clearances, 11 marks (4 contested)

Sure, perhaps both aren’t afl standard.

But atleast Strachan has more coordination than my 10 year old daughter.

I've suggested before that we should see if we can grab Ladhams cheap from Sydney.

He'd be an instant upgrade on ROB

Stratchan is worse than ROB and unless he get a better ruckman he'll remain our number 1 ruck.
How do we really know Strachan is worse than ROB.

Atleast Strachan has a semblance of coordination.

ROB has to be the most uncoordinated spud to ever play AFL.

Doesn't work this way for entrenched coaches.

They need to maximise wins to get as close to finals as possible, and their approach is to play as many senior players as they can

Rachele is the canary in the coalmine that shows how bad of a coach Nicks is. A kid who came to the club with immense natural talent who is going backwards at a rate of knots.
This!

Our drafting can’t be so shit that every single first round pick we’ve had is a bust. It’s development.

Our best players are Rankin and Dawson and a 33 year old Walker.

Screams that development is a farce.

Let's not forget he played a super offensive promising young player (Pedlar) as a defensive forward on a contested marking beast (Stewart). As expected the kid got completely smashed in front of a national audience. What do you think that did for Pedlars confidence/development.
