BAD

We can't even tank properly
Browny's turnover
Trucks turnover
J-Pods turnover
Brodie M's turnover
Not getting excited even once watching that yesterday.

UGLY

Luke Thompson - Makes me long for the days of Will Young.

Ricky Henderson - Play him loose on a wing where there's the minimal chance of physical contact or don't pick him.
Him coming back has skull-****** our defensive setup , ask Brodie Smith

People having digs at paddy and Rory........blind Freddy can see they're cooked from having to pick up the defensive slack ALL ******* SEASON from all our other alleged mids defensive errrrrrrrrr " efforts "

Rory Laird going against the most basic primal instinct a footballer has and turning AWAY from goal 40m out.

J-Pod - If Sando has a sack , Pods won't play this week.

Josh Jenkins - Was a wrap for this guy last year , gone backwards , sawft

Matt Wright - thought he was a tagger 2 seasons ago ???......

Bickley - kicked about 3 goals his entire career , last time i checked he was a MID o_O
Campo - No wonder our mids defensive work is a joke , look at how this guy played.
Milburn - IF ONLY our defenders showed a QUARTER of the mongrel this guy did...obviously he can't get his message across.

The next 3 years

Looking at this list we really do have some very ordinary players. We keep hearing how the magnificent 7 (Sauce, Danger, Sloane, Walker, Talia, Smith, Betts) are going to drive us to our next premiership. For me, given our poor list, I'll go the opposite and say that their performances are what is keeping us off the bottom 4. Saddens me to think they will most likely never experience the joy of a premiership.

Prone to exaggeration?

When was the last time you saw Dangerfield put on a performance? Because I'm looking through his entire season and I'm struggling to find a single game where he carried the team, or was the difference, or put on what would be described as a performance. Even his statistical high against Hawthorn was a pretty meaningless affair pumped up by the terrible handball game the Hawks were content to let us play.

I think maybe Collingwood in May or GWS in April are about the only ones you could look at and say "maybe".

As for Walker, he was poor all game against North and Richmond, he was poor for three quarters against Brisbane, and likewise West Coast, and was poor against Collingwood - that's just his last 5 games.

You're right. Delist and chemically castrate Tex

Now who is exaggerating?

It's possible and often necessary to criticise fan favourite players without calling for them to be delisted you know.

As much as people may say "he was playing injured" and "he was coming back from injury", Dangerfield is the one who kept sticking his hand up to play, and served up a mediocre season as co-captain. Walker in his third game back kicked 5 goals and moved very freely against a decent defender from the Gold Coast.

Texs numbers are very similar to 2012. Just because he isn't matching your expectation doesn't mean he's been poor

Danger I have no argument for. Injured or not, he's been shithouse this year

There has to be some leeway for coming back from a reco though and hence he has avoided too much criticism

Danger though

I've said it once and i'll say it again. I remember when he was a top 5 player in the comp :(

Might be wise to enforce a 48-hour ban on posting after a loss. We lost by firkin 7 points in a game that was semi-comical for the mistakes made by both sides. Some of the crap on here has been written in the immediate aftermath of a loss that hurts because it potentially costs the season. WTF, we'd be making up the numbers anyway.
I'm as gutted as anyone on here about the loss, and yeah, there were stupid mistakes and the same skill problems we've had all year. But settle, people, the world did not end. The sun will come up each day until the next game. You will still get your dinner. Take the pills and try to stay calm.
To read what has been written here--and I have only read a few pages--one would think we just got flogged by 100 points by the bottom side.
Let's hope that doesn't happen next Sunday. ;)

Nah - the issue here is that it's been going on too long. 2 x finals appearances in 8 years.

That's why people are exploding.

you mean 5 right? :p

Danger has trade value this year, does not next year. Skip the whole Tippett thing and trade at end of year.
Sloane our next captain.

I thought it was 8. Since 2006 we have only played finals in 09 and 12.

Stand corrected though
Played the dreaded Hawks final, Massie on Buddy in 07..
2008 was the year Saints beat Essendon by over 100 points in the last round to knock us down to 5th, played the Pies at home and lost (Scott Stevens kicked 6 goals in a final once you know :p)

I can understand why you've blocked all of this out though, the ones you mentioned are enough.. :(

It pains me to watch Danger running around on one leg.

It was a bit like Ziebell for us earlier on in the year, you could tell he wasn't right but they kept playing him anyway.

Also, in all seriousness, did Kerridge play SANFL? If so, i really can't believe he didn't play.
Thanks - congrats on win.

Plenty here wanted Kerridge in. He had played 2 good games in the reserves coming back from injury so most expected his return.

In a game that was always going to be measured in inches I thought just the threat of him might unsettle Scott or at least make a plan for him.

I always think about Ian Chappell's mantra "what would the opposition like least " - regardless of the long odds on Kerridge hurting you a third time, Scott would have been happy he wasn't playing.

Even taking away the psych stuff, he'd earned his spot on merit and we are woefully one way in the mids - his defensive action has been sorely missed IMO

Ah yes thanks - you're right I attended both those games and have blocked them out lol
