Kerridge would have been handy today - could have been option when zeibel was in fire.

We played an out of form Hendo - why?

Summed up our season. Didn't make the most of our chances & when dominating forward 50's … too many dumb turnovers.

Need to find a mid-tall defender. Should be going very hard at goldsack.

Agree ....with respect Wright is a handy player ......but apart from a couple of cameo performances he was a ghost

He's slow, short and a liability if he's not getting the ball .......Kerridge was taller, a natural forward and gave us defensive options thru the midfield

IMO Wright should be traded .......we have two objectives for next year:
1. Speed the team up

2. Get some marking power in the forward line

Thread title should be 'The Good, the Pods and the Thompson'.

LT's career melted before our eyes. Ziebell legit could have kicked 8 goals on him in the last quarter if he'd been more accurate. Thompson is hapless in the air, gets outbodied by actual key forwards and still manages to get ragdolled by a midfielder pinch hitting forward. WTF is this guy good for? This should be the easiest delisting in memory. Just an utterly useless footballer.

On the flip side, the good Thompson looked really good today and seemed to be our only mid looking to be constructive in clearances, not just blazing at first opportunity. Our BOG for sure.

Danger's first half was outstanding but fell out of it afterwards. Sloane was great defensively but struggled to get or do anything with the ball. Lyons' last 3 quarters were promising. Crouch does so much well only to undo it with bizarre decision making. Everyone else was fairly crap. North's comical inefficiency in front of goal made it closer than it should have been.

Been saying this for two years ......but apparently i am a bad judge and we just had to give him a go  .........yeah and look at the result

I posted earlier today in another thread that i'd prefer L.Johnston over L.Thompson ..........i'll stick to that even though both are as bad

What happened to Danger in the second half?? This was the moment for the captain to stand up and lead, yet we had less than a whimper.
Body and mind is completely worn out with no gas left in the tank .....should have been rested in the off chance we made the finals

Would Kerridge have been good on Zeibell? Didn't Fyfe destroy Kegs in a similar way?

we had no outside run at all, almost every single kick forward was to a contest, stop again, kick to a contest again, while north's movement forward was mostly free flowing.

wtf happened to our style of gameplay from Sando's first year? play on in every occasion?

it was constantly winning the contested ball, only to rush it forward directly to the opposition.
Both Geelongs ( Hawkins)and our 2012 gameplan (Tippett) required a strong marking FF

Tex is a CHF ........Jenkins is a CHF ......we don't have the contested marking FF that Sando's gameplan requires

Mackay is an OK player only!

Does not get enough pill to be a good player, he is best 22, that is all!
Seriously you need to watch a bit closer .....it's not about qty, it's his run & carry thru the midfield

If you underrate that importance i can't help you sorry

If he mentions character, courage or "the players are really upset" I will go the big vom.
Yeah Sando is not reading the mood particularly well .......and his players are not backing him up

There were players today whose effort defensively was half hearted to be nice

Macca, agree with everything you say, and it's good to see you fired up...

But you know Chapman can't fix it - because he's part of the problem.

He's trying, I presume he's still having his weekly review with sando. Maybe the club should pay for chappy to do a Harvard coaching course over summer. That'll solve our problems.

Except he now handballs about 80% of the time, so his run and carry, which was valuable, has disappeared.

the most ugly thing about today for me is the realization that next year in all likelihood will be much the same as this...
except for the whooshing sound of GCS and GWS brushing past us!
dark times ahead i fear...
unless there are some major changes in the way we do shit... requires new coaches and wont happen...
sad day...
