This.
It’s time to close ranks Magpie Faithful.
People are either with us or against us.
To those against, we offer no apology or remorse.
We will take this flag, because it is ours to take

Our last 6 weeks haven’t been close to our best. Although I don’t mind the under dog tag.
We have a big edge in GF experience in the coaches box and on the field.
Fly, Leppa, Pendles and Sidey have all played in four GF’s. DeGoey, Elliott, Mihochek, Mitchell, Crisp, Howe, Maynard, Hoskin-Elliott and Cox have all played in one previously. Our captain hasn’t but he is a born leader.
Fagan has never played or coached in an AFL GF. Only Neale, Dunkley and Cameron have ever played in one - all at other clubs.
If it’s close, I reckon our depth of experience and leadership will lift us over the line.

I agree but I think you’re selling Fagan short, he was heavily involved in the Hawks golden era. He knows how to prepare for big games. We have a big edge in GF experience in the coaches box and on the field.

Fly was there for all of Richmond's flags (edit: and also our GF loss in 2011)I agree but I think you’re selling Fagan short, he was heavily involved in the Hawks golden era. He knows how to prepare for big games.
Apart from Flys playing days, which Richmond flags was he involved in?
Very different as an assistant than as the head coach. Which is why I wasn't also counting assistant coach GF experience of Fly, Leppa and Bolton. To be fair to Fagan. He was apart of the Hawthorne three peat
His role also wasn't quite as an assistant. Not neatly at leastVery different as an assistant than as the head coach. Which is why I wasn't also counting assistant coach GF experience of Fly, Leppa and Bolton.
Not really. Scraped 2 wins. Let’s not be delusional we aren’t in red hot form. Our last two games have been more than adequate. Prior that it’s largely ancient history.

Regardless it doesn’t mean much when the balls bounced. We will be going full tilt
Vfl flags, Markov has payed under him.I agree but I think you’re selling Fagan short, he was heavily involved in the Hawks golden era. He knows how to prepare for big games.

I'm hoping with lipinski out that hill plays high half forward, his pace and disposal inside 50 will trouble Brisbane. As for ginni, hope he plays pure forward pocket with the instructions to hit the scoreboard and position himself at around as many inside 50 balls as possible
Berry and Dunkley seem to do an ok job.
Was it warm vs Port? I remember it being cold or am I talking out my a$$?Anyone with more insight into how the warm weather will effect our game style?
My feeling is it helps our game style. Kinda like the early rounds of the season, where it was warm against Geelong and Port and our harder for longer game style thrived best with our strong fitness. Fatigue from the heat should suit our lock down game if he have to impose it.
I don't think Brisbane living in a warmer climate matters. 2002/03 we're colder GFs and it didn't help us at all.
Roccas (goal) in 2002, Voss being an absolute flog to Burns in 2003.. Never forget. * these pricks. Redemption time
Which is great if we are in front, not so great if we are chasing. Fingers crossed by the time he’s needed we are well in front.
Expecting a big national anthem from Kate Miller-Heidke. She is an exceptional talent.
I saw her when she opened for Paul Kelly at Sidney Myer Music Bowl a few years back.Expecting a big national anthem from Kate Miller-Heidke. She is an exceptional talent.
Pies fans need to boo her into oblivion.Well I saw her say she hopes Brisbane smashes us so stuff her. Hope she forgets the words.
