This a really strange flex.I was right about Bruhn. Likely cost us the Prelim. 10 disposals as a mid
Borderline Pathetic to be putting blame on a 22 year old

Look, he did have a crap game. That said, he didn't start in the middle so far as I saw till the fourth quarter? This a really strange flex.

Q1-1Look, he did have a crap game. That said, he didn't start in the middle so far as I saw till the fourth quarter?
People would bump his thread everytime he got over 20 touches this season. That only happened a few times though as it wasn't often he hit 20 touchesAs people know, I'm not a fan of his.
I went really hard on him early and have pulled up to give him time.
Possibly every concern I had 2 years ago about him I still hold today.
He is yet to make me eat my early words and look silly (I want him to).
He needs a big season next year and I hope he goes crazy and has one.
66 games into him so it should be go-time... although I see minimal upside (similar with Clark).
Not quite Chad Warner... Not quite Bruhnlow.
10 touches is bad for a first gamer, let alone a full time mid in his 4th season. This a really strange flex.

Translation: Be a happy clapper never critical of anything.Be a better supporter tomorrow, the past few days you’ve had a shocker
Sure, but from what I have seen, you heap it all on Bruhn.Translation: Be a happy clapper never critical of anything.
Bruhn and Co deserve every bit of criticism coming there way, were found wanting and showed the gap they have to bridge to be a competent midfield group.
You're talking to the wrong person.Sure, but from what I have seen, you heap it all on Bruhn.
Not on Bowes, or Atkins, or Blicavs when he was in the middle. None of them would be in the midfield for any other top eight side.
There’s being able to criticize when warranted and not blamed for a prelim loss. Which is what happened here, I would say Duncan cost us the game more in 1/4 of footy than Bruhn did for just not winning the ball.Translation: Be a happy clapper never critical of anything.

That is very unfair. The dye was largely cast before Duncan had come on, we were hanging on by that point in time. There’s being able to criticize when warranted and not blamed for a prelim loss. Except I did when posting here last night, and some couldn't the criticism. As another post said there’s no blame going to Bowes and Atkins who both had poor games.
Neale has been criticised since last night and the resultant behaviour from some has been to hit disagreeStengle is getting a free ride here and it’s remarkable.
As in Neale “not that I am blaming him, but him and Bruhn are very similar in age”
There is plenty of players who had poor games, but none what so ever are the specific reason why we lost.
Which wasn't my point. Mine was that collectively we're well short of the mark and it contributed to our exit last night. Our mid group is piss poor. It’s definitely not a 22 year olds fault we lost a prelim because he didn’t double his disposal numbers
Oh sorry - I do conflate you and Warhorse a little. ApologiesYou're talking to the wrong person.
Comes back to expectation for mine. That is very unfair. The dye was largely cast before Duncan had come on, we were hanging on by that point in time.

We win by four goals if holmes doesnt get injured and the umps arent cheating. 7 goals if stengle doesnt have the worst kicking game of his career.Translation: Be a happy clapper never critical of anything.

There's literally a correlation between Holmes injury and us being over run..We win by four goals if holmes doesnt get injured and the umps arent cheating. 7 goals if stengle doesnt have the worst kicking game of his career.
This season we simply lost cos of bad luck.
No criticism needed. You dont need to be the best at all parts of the ground to be the best team.
When it’s important to be the first to call yourself right.. you know who’ll be there..It's not. Say whatever negative stuff you want.
But your first response to us losing a close final was bumping the "I was right" thread. Seriously?
All these players can play positions outside of the center square. Bruhn has to ride the pine, destroying our rotations while the above players are constantly chasing Bruhn direct opponent due to his defensive deficiencies.Sure, but from what I have seen, you heap it all on Bruhn.

Also, none of them are given nicknames like Bruhnlow or comparisons to Warner.
He should become a solid B/C Grader. Maybe as early as next year.I really think you are going to be eating your words this same time next year.
Bruhn will make it. Even when he does become one of our best mids, I have a feeling you will still be highly critical of his game.
He should become a solid B/C Grader. Maybe as early as next year.
This year though he was poor and was the difference between a Prelim finish and playing in a Grand final. It's OK to be a developing player but as he is not able to play any position outside of centre square midfielder we are a worse side for him being in the team
That's true of Bowes and Blicavs, but not Atkins, who was ordinary as a defender and very ordinary as a forward. All these players can play positions outside of the center square. Bruhn has to ride the pine, destroying our rotations while the above players are constantly chasing Bruhn direct opponent due to his defensive deficiencies.
He had 10 touches for the entire game. As a full time midfielder.Wrong.
Jeremy Cameron went missing in the final quarter and he's one of the most expensive footballers in the league.
We got very little out of Tom Atkins who had been averaging 18 disposals per game prior to the weekend's match.
Blaming it solely on a kid who has only played 35 games at a new club is pathetic.
He gets tackles in the packs. Gets torched on the outsideThat's true of Bowes and Blicavs, but not Atkins, who was ordinary as a defender and very ordinary as a forward.
Regardless, it does not make them better midfielders.
I don't find him 'defensively deficient', I think you're seeing what you want to see there.
Wrong.

Was he injured just before the opening bounce? Was horrible the entire gameWasn't Bruhn also injured during the match?
I'm pretty sure we all would like to have seen him have a better match, but I'm more critical of a player like Stengle who more of a liability than if he was just absent during the match - a couple of really poor shots on goal, especially the one with Dempsey open in the goal square, the way to early "marking" attempt when Neale was in prime position and as a small we needed him to stay on the ground etc
Sometimes being invisible is better than poor involvement
