Maybe try that sentence again.

But I think what you're asking is...

You don't have to use the SUB option.

If a poster has "Matthew Wright (Ian Callinan)" for instance I think they'd be a little miffed if Wright starts as the sub but kicks a goal, Callinan doesn't kick a goal and they get kicked out of the competition as a result.

I did post Taylor Walker as backup thinking it was going to be for the sub. Expect 80%+ people to use the SUB term next round instead of %5.

Good point! Don't ask quesions because it will seem as though you weren't paying attention.

I think I know what happened.

First the instructions were too long.

So no one read them but just copied the first person who replied. The first person didn't understand the rules, hence the confusion was passed along the line.

Well, that's over. Hopefully there will be some controversy to enliven things next round too. Perhaps a goal line scramble where the tv, AFL website and newspapers disagree about who the goal is credited to?

I'm in the camp that says Dirty Bird is trying to sow confusion and dissent on the latest incarnation of the game.

Rules perfectly clear enough IMO. Then again my job requires me to spend alot of time reading every little detail and debating every little definition. I assume many went the tldr route.. well suck balls is all I can say to that.
