Im not convinced that we're getting clarkson, but i do find it interesting that he hasnt said that he isnt coming. surely this speculation in the leadup to a gf could be knocked on the head with a simple "im definitely not going to the crows next year"

He could have said that, but whist would have followed would be "and if you don't report that it's 100% crap, then you'll get nothing from this club ever again". She's a fair bit smarter than Jars, who if this turns out to be true, has probably gotten his last scoop from his source at the club.

I'm going to stick my balls on it - Clarko to coach the Crows from 2015.

Why? What does he have to prove at Hawthorn? He knows what state Adelaide list is - underachieving. He can become a hero in his first season by taking this list which is the 4th youngest in the league to the finals. Hawks list is not getting any younger - Mitchell, Hodge, Burgoyne, Lake.

What still makes me think so, why would you sack your existing coach without having a plan in place? If we did so without having a plan, we are in more strife than the early settlers.

On the point of Clarkson breaking his contract with Hawthorn, do we or anyone know what out clauses are in the contract? The Melbourne media don't think it would happen coz that wouldn't happen to a Vic club. Well the world is a strange place. We could be seeing another shift in power from the Vic clubs to the non-Vic clubs (like the early 2000's).

I'm also interested in the supposed out clauses, what could they be? Assistants generally have an out clause so they can get a senior position, surely clarko wouldn't have an out clause that he could just go to another club in the same position.
Could it have to do with health? We'll surely if he's going to take the same position at another club that doesn't stand up. Maybe it's performance based?
Certain number of premierships and he can do what he wants. Well then he'd have to win this weekend for us to have a chance. It all seems unlikely.

Too true and I posted earlier on I wished he kept his mouth tight, not the time. Gf week is one of my favourite weeks of the year without question so as a football purist I prefer to leave it to the best 2 teams and can't wait for the next week to happen coach wise. Let the players play, haters hate, and may the best team win!

You could tell when Caro categorically ruled out Clarko, that Rowie's mail on the coach (who he's refused to name) had just been blown out of the water.

Having said that, Caro wouldn't know what Clarko is thinking. I doubt many if any at the Hawks would think he's leaving. Let's hope Clarko and manager are just playing their cards close
