Not a rumour however I'm convinced the media has no ******* clue incl Rowey

Like the appt of Sando, the appt of Fagan and now the appt of our new coach the media is totally clueless on what is happening

Rowey did drop the bombshell that created the now infamous thread.

If it is indeed Bass, Im sure that Rowey would know this but wouldnt want to leak this as they are mates. He is the only one too that told us that the AFC have spoken to him. Fagan's appt didnt really excite or disappoint me one way or the other to be honest. Only time will tell of whether the decision was astute.

Or that Walshy didnt want to be assistant coach, but senior coach.......
It makes sense with what Rowey had been saying in that "its a name that hasnt been in the top list" "they are looking for the next Ken"
To be honest I hadnt thought of him. But he has apprenticed under Mark Williams, Worsfold and now Ken. Was involved with premierships at two clubs, and they say he is one of the best match day coaches in the game.
But rowey wouldn't have a clue who afc are targeting as coach - he is just guessing like the rest of us!

Bomber Thompson could be open to offers from the GC

So if McKenna gets sacked what is the difference in the sacking of Sando and the sacking of McKenna, both sackings are a result of post season reviews

Only difference is Sando is a mate

Bomber was extremely critical of AFC sacking Sando, IMO double standards if he goes to GC

Depends on reasons and I assume bomber knows more of the truth. Also is mckenna out of contract?

Im fairly certain at the time, the media hassled Freo for their ruthless decision too. The appointment and the on-field success will go a long way to changing the perception about our Club by the outside AFL world.

Monday at 3pm on 5AA is going to be fascinating.
As we speak rowey is going through this thread trying to work out the best name to drop as a rumour as coach & bone going through Alex's posts to see how to best go troppo & upset majority of crows fans.

Prediction - Rowe - afc have Bassett stitched up for a 3 year deal.

Bone - afc should have done more to keep tippett - can't understand all the supporter hate as he only means well.

Well maybe it's time to put up?

GF is over

I have never said that I was going to name any names prior to the AFC announcement.

Now, you can take that as being that I don't know what I am talking about - that's fine. I have remained consistent all along.

I actually suspect the 2pm leak to Rowey re: Sando sacking came from Sando's camp and not the board/club.

So Rowey having the early mail on Sando does not = Rowey having the early mail on the new coach.

I suspect no one in the media knows. They're continually guessing. Do get the strong feeling it's been lined up for a while though.

I've honestly still got no clue and couldn't make any sort of confident guess.

I'm not sure new players will matter. Would pods want to play on without his mate there to build showing with?

I watched a AFL 360 show earlier in the year, where Mooney said that Pods was never the number 1 goto forward at Geelong. If Cameron did come, he would drop to 3rd or even 4th best forward, which is where he could really shine.

I think Sando did look after him during his time, with that said from the parts of the games I have seen this season, he did take the pressure of Tex to some extent. Pods also stated that it was his dream to play AFL (like everyone) and play anywhere where he could. He also said his body is not that of a 10-12 year player in the system, which is a critical.

That's cool, except the clues could only logically be taken to be Clarkson (or Longmire)…we shall see.

The AFC said they will NOT provide running commentary.

Rowie is the only guy that has told us that Bass has spoken to the AFC.

Jars is either going to be viewed as a good source or a bona fide imbecile about the Clarkson comment last week. Im thinking the latter.

Another week of AA and MMM trumping each other with unsubstantiated crap…hurry up Roo!!

As far as "runs on the board", 5AA scored a century in regards to the Sando sacking. It remains to be seen if MMM has hit 100 themselves with the Clarkson coming to Adelaide fact/fiction.
