It's the people who suddenly sign up claiming to have information - coincidental?

Then the attention seeking " riddle me this " BS they go on with.

Yeah it's this type of newbie I am talking about, also the ones who come and and state ridiculous trade, new coach threads etc, not saying all newbies are like this, they stand out pretty glaringly so no need for names.

Not sure if it has been mentioned in this thread yet, but regardless of the coin we throw at Clarkson, would he not be seriously hunting the trifecta and going down in history as one of the greats to win 3 in a row. Despite all the murmurs and talk that I've heard/'read, Im finding it increasingly hard as to why Clarkson would want to come here over going down in one of the greatest pages in AFL history.

Not convinced on Bolton just yet. Inherited an A+ grade list and won a handful of games, woweee....

May be shot down for this one, but Im not all that opposed to Ratten. After seeing what the 'almighty' Malthouse has produced with that absolute rabble of a playing list that we refer to as Carlton, it actually makes some of Ratten's work look quite good and what he was able to achieve with what he had at his disposal. A handful of years working at hawks and closely with Clarkson could only have benefited him. Would most certainly rather him than someone like Dew at this stage.

Cant really comment on Bassett, dont watch enough SANFL to really provide an insightful opinion, only really going on reputation here. But as others have said, despite his amazing SANFL achievements, has he really had enough time in the AFL system, and is he really that good to make a seamless transition from top notch SANFL coach to AFL, as many supporters seem to be demanding of him already.

Hey all,
I know im active on the trade side of things and I know some of you will think Im talking bull, thats your call. but I thought Id let you know I found out today that one of our suppliers at work has an employee named Debbie who works in Gepps Cross...Who happens to be Andrew Jarmans Sister. SO... first thing I did is ring her up (Ive known her for 10 years and never knew till today who she was). She's a Crows fan so had no problem discussing the rumour we all know about.

In her own words she said she had no idea why her bro would come out with the Clarko rumour so early If he did know. She also said she knows for sure he has inside links and they are reliable.

She spoke to him Saturday about what he said and he said he was still confident in what he had said but he didnt say much more. She went on to say..."I don't know why he always has to open his mouth" and "somethings going on"

Couldnt get much more out of her except she kept calling him a idiot. Haha.

Read what you will into it. It aint a source but its just a bit of info.

Sneaky red herring.

I thought I was one being referred to but I joined in 2012 so that can't be right.
Nah not my comment before, still doubt your info though haha! As I said a while ago, I see no reason why you would make something like you did up which jeopardises anything you ever say in here again but at the same time I have issue that your info isn't really info, nothing you have given is completely decipherable and that leaves you a number of candidates to say you were right, you also won't use the encryption board.

which of the two (ratten or bassett) has more potential to actually be a premiership coach though?

Id have to chose bassett over ratten.

I have my doubts too Hemi. if maccca23 was genuine that it's not intended as a rip-off then he could have and should have used a capital M rather than the lower case m which I chose for individuality. When he first appeared I was reading posts that made me wonder when in buggery did I post that until I eventually looked at the avatar.

If I find it confusing then I'm sure others do as well.
It's trademark infringement! Passing off himself as a well-known and trusted brand - should be a BigFooty law against this.

Do the right thing maccca23 and drop the user name and get another (non-confusing) one.

Why would he make it up?

For internet forum laughs.

I thought Ratten took one for the great of the club. Certainly wasn't horrible

Maybe Clarkson doesn't want to go past Jeans and Kennedy?

Roo trying his best to convince Clarko:

Post of the month.

Here is my theory

- Bassett was interviewed last week or earlier and was shortly after advised of his appointment
- Since being advised of his appointment Bass has been working with Roo and Noble in assembling our new coaching structure
- Over the Past week or so Bass has also had time to get up to speed with the list mgt strategy and have input on trade strategy
- Even though Announcement to be this week much work has already been achieved

You raise fair points.

How long will it take Bassett to reach this level though?

And will the club/supporters/raging BF posters give him enough time? What happens if Bassett goes through serious growing pains as an AFL head coach and we dont have the balls nor the time to wait long enough to reap the rewards (which would be highly likely given the current mindset of the club/board).

There's substance in this theory. Good work that. I want Bassett now. Clarkson coached sanfl premiership before his afl tenure, so why not go for the hound?

I agree with your thoughts, also I'm happy with a bass announcement anyway.. As long as he pisses of bicks, campo and Clarke, dasher can stay for sure. See how he goes in a new coaching team, he has been lauded but we ewe very leaky this year, talia was a star already, smith wasn't far off, brown went along his normal way of doing things which I quite like and only major improver was Jaensch, bit too much love for dasher I reckon!
