So Ander Rodoreda, PAFC employee, is going to be lining up with the plebs outside the club at 8am or whenever the sale starts?
Pull the other one.
Tell him I said hi, and that I owe him a carton.

Either Nathan Lonie bought it or someone in his immediate family did because I have no idea who would buy a Nathan Lonie jumper for $24 let alone $240.
+1The point is that people go to these things with the sole purpose of immediately onselling them for profit. Whether they get $24 or $240 isn't the point.
You really should have to produce a membership card (of any membership level) to get in the door. This is supposed to be about club fans having a unique opportunity at getting a special bit of team merch.

I didn't abuse him or anyone else but having read today that he's using someone at the club (again) to help him get in first, along with other contacts, I decided it's not worth the time or effort to get down there.
It's exploiting a situation at the expense of other supporters and that doesn't sit right with me. Claim I'm being morally superior, I couldn't give a shit. I hope he feels warm and fuzzy inside with a wardrobe full of PI gear.
To divert slightly from the current topic, does anyone who was at the changeroom sale last year reckon it's worth the drive down to the club (I live at least 30+ minutes away by car, probably more by bus if my old man can't drive me) if I can't get in there early? I'm not a collector or an avid fan of player-issued gear, but I haven't picked up a new piece of Port merchandise since 2014 or 2015 I reckon, so I'm just interested in having a casual look around at what's available. From what it sounds like, if I stroll in towards the afternoon there won't be much left for me to have a look at, so I'm not sure if I could be arsed taking the time out of my day to get down there early enough to snag anything.
Any thoughts/advice/experiences to share?
Apparently we're getting long sleeves next year. Why don't we sell longsleeve replica guernseys?
Surely they'd sell like hotcakes in the colder months.
Yeah that's actually what I'd be after more-so than the PI stuff. Are the discounts any good, or is just like 5-10%? If I can snag a nice media polo or something for less than the ridiculous $85 that it's listed up for now I'd be interested.theres plenty of stuff if your not after player worn or issued items

I'm pretty sure there was a couple of them up there recently, but one definitely went for almost 700 clams.

I'm similar to you with merch and went last year - I took my son and was hoping to get some cheap general merch for him. I lasted about 5 minutes before deciding I couldn't be ****ed with it all. It was chaos and the lines to buy stuff were ridiculously long. I won't be wasting my time this year. That was me, because we are 99% old chunky blokes (self included)Apparently we're getting long sleeves next year.
But as someone said (finbarr maybe??) only 1% of us would actually look good in one
Pretty much this. It's not as if he is taking the last carton of drinking water after a disaster ffs.
He is buying second hand junk. Calm the farm.
And this.I don't get it, shouldn't this shit just be auctioned off online?
Yes it was, sorry! That was me, because we are 99% old chunky blokes (self included)
