This is kind of fire I'd wear it if it was a windbreaker with a Nike logo on it. What is the club doing about the I Need a New Nike Windbreaker Situation?

I could see you wearing this in the mosh pit.

Then why have Adidas gone from sponsoring 2-3 clubs to sponsoring nobody?

Also from memory Nike sponsored Port, Carlton, Richmond, North and possibly others around the turn of the century. So the two clubs they sponsor now is less than what they did when the competition was much smaller.

How did we actually land Nike back then? The more time goes on, the more I'm baffled at it.

That was in the very early days of teams having a manufacturer logo on the kits at all, and there were far less players in the game of apparel sponsors. Nike were far less elitist with who they manufactured for. Nike, Adidas and Puma had most of the teams in the late 90s.

Maybe because no team has gone them but I’m sure if two parties can come to a deal that they’ll be back especially with Nike in the league.

"In parallel to its outdoor foray, the Herzogenaurach-based company is retreating from several niche sports by ditching lacrosse and Australian Rules Football, and reducing its footprint in wrestling and cricket, where it is seeking licensing partners."

Or maybe, it is because its a small niche sport with the total population that watches it for the whole year (~125m)not even even a patch on an EPL single match global viewership (~600m) and their investment is worth more elsewhere.

Ok, then they are so disinterested in AFL that Nike is supplying Collingwood and Sydney. Also, for years, Carlton and Puma have SIX clubs on their books.

What does Nike and Puma have to do with Adidas' strategy to exit AFL?

You asked why no party had gone to the table to negotiate with Adidas and that they would want to be in the same market as Nike. Adidas exited in 2021 - the same year Nike entered back in with Sydney & Collingwood. I guess its because of the reasons I posted above that they valued their investment elsewhere, other than a niche sport on the other side of the world?

Maybe because they clubs and adidas haven’t found a deal that they can both agree on. I’m sure if that do they’ll be back in fold especially with Nike and Puma their two biggest direct rivals in the league.

While Allan Scott was always going to be the prime sponsor, the tireless work done behind the scenes by volunteers and legends like Bob Clayton working the phones in hot as heck transportables at Alberton Oval to get key sponsors such as Nike And Ansett (remember them?) to get us up and running as a club is long forgotten.

And remember this was a time when the Crows had every major corporate and small business with a presence in SA interested in sponsoring sport locked up and the officials from SANFL and the parasites from every other SANFL club workshopping ways to send us bankrupt.

A lot of guff on another thread about the relevance of the NTUA anthem in 2025. IMHO its an anthem that suits our history perfectly and should stay with us forever as it describes perfectly what we went though as a club to play at the national level - on the backs of a relatively small number of individuals who never gave up the dream.

And Bruce Weber deserves something permanent at Adelaide Oval given his role in dragging SA footy onto the national stage but even now, decades later, Olsen and the SANFL want to rub him out of history and the recognition he deserves. One day we'll have a CEO and Chair with an understanding of history and the all balls to tell them to get fecked and make it happen.

Collingwood dropped Adidas after 2012 (the same year we dropped Reebok) to go with Star Athletic for 5 years and then ISC for 4, before getting signed by Nike in 2021.
I was under the impression that Collingwood/Eddie owned or had a partnership with Star Athletic, something along them lines.

Who designs this and thinks it looks good?

Black neck, ok, that's good and strong.
Some teal highlights on the neck, tick, I can live with those.
Pure teal sleeve trim, why? Just why in the world do that?

Just totally unnecessary, and I'm a pro-teal person in comparison to many of the board.

Black trim on the sleeves and this is a solid training Guernsey, if you can handle white. The teal is just stupid.

Macron design kits for sporting giants like the Albanian NT, Wydad FC, and The entire Canadian football league.

It is fitting that our administration proceeded with a business whose biggest assets are in Serie B and Serie C.
