I can se that side of it. But if that was indeed occurring then I'd suggest it's to shield Kelly from ridicule at the B&F.

I.e. They know he's leaving but they will hold it back until after.

We still had pounds, shillings and pence when Melbourne last won a flag. The Beatles had toured Australian and NZ just a few months earlier. That is an incredibly long time ago.

The club should not entertain his request for WC over Freo.
This is a trade to your home state. You shouldn't demand to go to a particular club after 1 year in the comp.

If we bend over and accept anything less a top 10 pick, this is an absolute disgrace.
He is clearly worth a top 10 pick and the only reason we won't get this is because we are too nice.

You are not tagging Kelly when Elliot Yeo and Shuey are in the midfield. Facts are Eagles has a much stronger midfield than Geelong in reality, so he is moving to a better midfield. He will absolutely flourish there.

Very comparable to Shuey. Yeo is the next one up. Going by 2018 stats.

OK. So he is an ok/good midfielder, but nothing great. No big loss then.

So far nothing official about Kelly actually wanting a trade to WA but should he make that request, draft pick needs to be closer to top 10/12 pick this year

Up to the Eagles to work out how to do that with what's available to them rather than trading lower picks to Geelong for us to then try to swap them to something better.

Use them this year. This is the big draft year. Look at history. Absolute gems have been found way down the list. During quiet seasons, even a lot of the top picks are duds
